Just found this for the first time, and I concur. This was clearly a major influential track. I'm not much into Jungle or Drum & Base because I like my EDM 'round 120 to 130 bpm but its impossible not to respect the imaginative use of the Amen brake. I can hear the love put into this track. This track rocks because its structure is built organically around the Amen brake. Lenny Dee et all LISTENED and developed this track intimately, from the ground up. He didn’t just loop the Amen brake as you do, then overlay it with random bells and whistles as an excuse to clock up yet another ’original production' ‘cose that’s wot the punters want’.

I actually think this was and still is the best track available if you want to represent the whole house movement in a single concept.

I’m fantasy ufo and masters of the universe, as well as countless other artist you would never expect this was a remix at the time of making it the vibe was at this pace and yes it does have vibes of LFO which honestly was something that was just out so inspired me rather than the other way round also the vocal was cleared with virgin. I believe it stood on its own merits at the time but I make a lot of music and am always inspired by others making great music. That’s how rave was back then everyone interchanging and pushing ideas in different directions or similar paths to keep the raves going. All the best peeps Mark Ruff Ryder Strictly Underground Records Still running tings for real! Go check

"This is in fact wrong as the amen sample was being used in other tracks at the time and the first hardcore tune to feature amen was Father Forgive Them by Holy Noise (Hithouse) which was released in 1990." Agreed, however We Are IE was actually written years before it's release (and before 1990), so if we are splitting hairs... ;)
