Great video! When you put the machine gun team in you also remove a numbered space. This is meaningful because if you remove 8 and roll an 8 on a red enemy die, you discard it

I have a question when adding up the score at the end of the game if I have -1 trait card 3 trait card 2 trait card before adding any additional points from card effects what would my total be?

Why is the heal a free action? What else are free actions on the amulet?

A ranged ability (such as a Basic Attack from a bow) allows creatures to target other creatures (or sometimes squares) at a distance. Ranged abilities normally use to determine how far away a target may be. In addition, ranged abilities require a clear line of sight to the target square. Line of Sight Draw a straight line from the center of the ability’s origin square to the center of the target square. If that line passes through any walls or obscure borders, that square is not a valid target for the ranged ability (there is not a clear line of sight). I would guess that you would not be able to perform the attack through the bush since it says center of each square instead of corner?

I cannot find the rule that i can activate the bow only once!?

I've got the game and created my character, but haven't started yet because the concept of the combat has me a bit cautious. Your video here is quite helpful, so thanks for showing how combat works. I look forward to finally delving in Arydia.

Typical CMON with terrible inserts. I’m sad to say the Integral Edition insert is equally bad. You get 4 small compartments and one larger compartment to store a dozen different tokens. It will make setup tedious for an otherwise simple and fast game. I guess we can pretend it’s loading the game from the CD like the good old days. I’d love to see some stackable 3d printed bins that could go into the compartments. If not that, I guess a full rip and replace of it will be next best.

What table or play mat is that?

With how tightly everything is packed, do you foresee an issue if one wishes to sleeve everything?

Appreciate the review and the video. However, it is implied that you do scratch the card off and only that card. If you mark one card (that has a scratch off symbol) you get to scratch that card off only. Like you have mentioned, there are blue cards that do not have a scratch off symbol that have things that need to be scratched off. These are done through other means throughout the game.

You can mark an available blue card which means from your hand, your discard pile, the adventure row or even the adventure discard pile. The only time you scratch off a blue card is when you put your mark on that card and then get to scratch off what was on it. You can’t put your mark on a blue card that has a scratch symbol and then go and scratch a different blue card. It doesn’t work that way. You scratch off the card you choose to mark.

I’ve had this game on my shelf of shame since it was released. I read the rule book but it didn’t quite land. This tutorial is absolutely fantastic. I’m gonna get this game played this week and for that I thank you sir. Only another 19 to go and I can fulfill my new year resolution of clearing the shelf before adding to it again 👍🏻

at 11:20 you mentioned not being able to use 2x normal action tokens to 'double up' which sounded a little like you were suggesting you couldn't have attacked again with your bow. I don't believe this is accurate.

9:59 - I think you are incorrect that you have to start applying damage at the 'top of the card'. I think you must follow the attack pattern (top down), though you can choose ANY "HP' location, from either column, and then apply the 2 points of damage (top down). It has to be a HP (grey circle) location, can't be any of the other iconography.

On the other punch board you can find 4 empty name tokens for making own character names. Also the rulebook mention it.
