So sorry that Johnnie is retiring owing to ill health. I listened to his broadcast with Tiggy regarding their plans for his eventual demise and was struck by their deep relationship and positivity. Good luck to both of you, enjoy every day, and thank you for the enjoyment you’ve given us for 58 years.

I only listen to Radio Two now because of Johnny Walker and being born in March 1963 and a big fan of 1970s music. I will still listen to Sounds of the Seventies only because the legendary Bob Harris is taking over the helm . God Bless Johnny and Tiggy.

Listened to Steve through the 80s and 90s , His afternoon show really was brilliant, especially If you were having a bad day at work, he and his crew made you laugh no matter what , I'm now nearly 67 and he was like part of the famil back then, RIP Steve You Were A Legend Mate And Will Be Sorely Missed By All Of Your Avid Listeners Who Tuned Into Your Show Throughout The Years Gone But Not Forgotten 😢😢😢😢 AND SHAME ON THE HEAD OF BBC RADIO 2 FOR ENDING HIS AFTERNOON SHOW😡😡😡
