I understand you did a vid on rigging a tail. The tail i made has a skeleton and painted weights and is curved. I need some help on it. I deleted my history so sadly i can't undo it. :(

when I create the IK spline, the joints turn red instead of pink and it just doesn work, its like blocked and if I move the joints they rrespond individually and not like a part of a spine. Why is this? I thought it could be because the joint need to be slightly bent or have a curve so they know whick way they have to bend in the spline but the same happens again :(

You can now run "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020" with a Virtual Relaity Headset. ( Oculus V.R / Valve Index etc.. ) I'm waiting for the new VR headsets to hit the market as the higher resolution will mean much better clarity of the flight instruments & environment.

Michael, your videos are great. I've been watching the stuff on rigging, including this one. But so many of them have comments turned off. This makes them less usable for most people as the comments really enhance the experience and understanding. Further I just wanted to compliment you on your fantastic HumanIK video "preparing to animate" as a like button just seemed way too little a form of accolade. Perhaps consider turning those comments back on. I suspect you'll even get more views as a result, via searches etc.

You seem uniquely able to make a great comparison video on the advantages and disadvantages of animating characters with Human IK and Advanced Skeleton (I've seen that you use both...why?). It is a topic with very little modern or insightful resources.

Great vid, slight shame the sim doesn't show the island and lake shore around the southern end all too accurately. Would love to see more around the South Waikato area.

I have been considering adding muscle to a model and rig I have made, but it is exceedingly hard for whatever reason to find good tutorials. Most of them show the muscles completed and in action, but not how to set it up step by step. I'm only willing to stumble around so much when messing with a character rig that took a long time to complete. I still want muscle and secondary animation though, so I would like to say thanks for this tutorial. It is concise, informative, and to the point. I feel like a lot of systems and features in Maya and similar packages are inexplicably not covered as much as they could be, so it's nice to get a little help when you need it. Good luck and thanks again.
