The 1982 BW Bach Festival was the culmination of four transformative years of musical education and training which will always remain a treasured experience and memory. Like so many music alumni "who only got four short years to learn and move on", my baccalaureate years prepared me far better than I could have imagined. My phone still rings because of the lessons and wisdom learned "around Bach and so much more" at BW!!

This is the first I have heard from Regina since 1967. We rode the same school bus from Atlantic Beach, NY to high school. I always knew she would go somewhere good and now I know where it was. Kudos, you playing is superb and you look great!

Oh wow! No comments yet. That’s really surprising considering the quality of this video and these singers. Seriously though, you guys are criminally underrated, so I hope at least some of you can see this comment. Each and every one of the singers are incredible. I’m only halfway through so far but the singers for Anatole and Natasha are beautifully cast. The Pierre actor blew me away with his rendition of Dust and Ashes. The voice fits perfectly into that song. I wish I could see more from him. Though I don’t see his name anywhere... Anyways, I’m gonna listen through the rest now. Just wanted to say this is truly something everybody should see

I will always associate spring with Bach. I was fortunate enough to play cello at three Bach Festivals under the venerable Maestro Oltmann, twice as a student and once as an alumnus. It truly was a life-changing experience. To this day I love playing continuo and I treasure my Bach Festival experience

There aren't adequate words to describe what Bach February meant to me. Maestro Oltman brought the Bach masterpieces to life, demanding the absolute best from us. It was an experience that lasts a lifetime and reminds us that there are moments that transcend us and stay with us forever.

I'm not always a Persechetti fan, but I did find this selection to be enjoyable. Your sound quality was great as well. You've got very solid double reeds- Very nice performance!

Dwight Oltman is a wonderful musician, who always demanded excellence. I am honored to call him a friend. He was a colleague and friend of my late husband, Dr. James Feldman, Please do not forget the amazing Dr. Elinor Barber, who was in charge of the Bach Library at B-W for many decades, G-d rest her wonderful soul. Bach remains my favorite composer.

Playing the 3rd Partita Gavotte en Rondo and Gigue is extremely inventive, and it works quite well! The entirety of the performers was splendid, including Mr. Escandon who played that first movement of Schubert's Arpeggione sonata with excellent musicality and tone control!

Former WBWC engineer/manager and con (organ) student from 1960s here. Superb performances by these young people and their teachers. Kudos to the media people that recorded these. The audio is extremely good as is the video very professionally captured. I really appreciate that. Love, love the Steinway concert grand! Nostalgia: I played the Austin organ as often as I could get my hands on it.
