First story could be a case of murder and a staged scene I would not attack paulides he prob has done more research than us hard to say he has no agenda but some. Are baffling
@steegcast2 жыл бұрын
No I agree, we do try to be fairly neutral with our opinions and he has done a fair amount of research on the topic and you can only credit him for that, sometimes personal views get thrown about though! But yes, these stories are quite strange and creepy TBF.

If asked to where and when in the past I would go if I could do time travel, I wouldn’t go to anywhere or any time or era or whatever in the past. I‘m more the type of person saying it‘s good that the past is over in many ways, but… I‘ve always said on various occasions that I‘d love to travel to the future or live long enough to see the next few centuries, like, see what life is like in, say, 2365 or 2515 or whatever. I‘d honestly be super curious to see what life would be like in later centuries, IF there is any kind of life left at all, that is. What technology would be normal at that time, how and where would people live, what food would they eat, all this and so much more I‘d really love to see. Alas, I haven’t found the loophole in time yet to go through so… I‘ll never know. 😂 Someone buy me a Delorian, please, haha
@steegcast2 жыл бұрын
Ye I can totally understand that, I too would love to see hundreds of years into the future, I think a thousand, as Tom said, would be pushing it though! Would you not want to observe an historical event though? Just to say "I saw it". Obviously a cheeky peek at next week's lottery numbers wouldn't hurt 😜
@letmeeeentertainyou2 жыл бұрын
@@steegcast I could use some lottery luck for sure 😂 As for the past… if at all I‘d probably like to see the legendary concert of Queen in Wembley if anything.

You do realize, that in his Missing 411 books, some of his "cases" are riddled with errors and contradict local newspaper reports. Some people he claims went missing, didn't and some of them were actually found alive! I can provide you with over a dozen cases proving this fact. Paulides is a bad researcher at best and often leaves out details in some cases to support his narrative. A lot of the time he ignores his own "Missing 411 Criteria". My advice mates, is to check your facts before repeating ANYTHING from Paulides. In fact, you want to make a good podcast? Cover Paulides sordid history as a police officer, ufo and bigfoot researcher, and now a Q-ANON conspiracy theorist. I'd watch that show, for sure! I'll even help you make it!
@steegcast2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Yeah relating to the "errors and contradictions", in the preface Tom does say "regardless of the stories, I'm just going to read what the Missing 411 says about them", and that "Paulides is under criticism for allegedly embellishing parts of these stories to make them seem weirder than they are." Also, 3/4's of the cases during our episode were found alive. We recorded a cast on this subject in the same vein as recording casts about conspiracies, skinwalkers, other cryptids, or the majority of paranormal stuff- do we believe it? That doesn't matter. These are researchable topics for the willing, and the information is out there if you believe it or not. Towards the end Tom even says he doesn't believe the cases resulted in the way that Paulides alludes. What I do find interesting though, is that you obviously seem brushed up on Paulides and his backstory; Why have you given so much time to something if you just wish to discredit him? Please don’t take this as a snipe, we’re happy for the feedback and thrilled that you watched it, just curious is all!

Great interview mate. Really enjoyed it. You did a brilliant job interviewing him.
Area 51 “myth” all comes from the skunk works facility in Arizona their head engineer/designer Clarence ‘Kelly’ Johnson came up with the design for the Lockheed super jet and SR 71 Blackbird planes And to keep their work secret he cleverly came up with UFO myth that the gullible yanks believe and the ufo hunters of today still believe

I love to see him singing on the stage, you can see that he is happy and he changes on the stage. He is a huge inspiration, I was listening to him when I was a teenager and I'm definitely his fan, but I just recently found out what happened to him and what he had to go through. I'd love to see and listen to Alex live, he is transferring to absolutely another person on stage. It is his destiny and I hope he will fly helicopter again. Alex most of love to you, follow your dreams and thanks for being such a inspiration and your songs.

With censorship and media coverage your best bet is looking at it like a cat and a mouse. Constant chase. The mouse is way left the cat way left. Chase that shit trail from the bum lol. The shit trail is where it is. I guess like Rich says the middle. But probably more towards the left in UK. Love Tom's comment on the Flintlock. I mean Starmer isn't very charismatic but there is an empathy there. Even if it's financially or public viewed fueled. He's got to be better than the star wars villain we have now lol.

I think one might be are nuts if one thinks people wont go out there and see a gig now. 18,000 people turning up to Bloodstock. There was a lot of people there who thought it was creamfields granted but I think people are very keen to see live music. I recon the only problem you will get in at least the next 6 months is over saturation. Should be a good time for gigs if bands can get off the ropes. Tidy video lads btw.

I’m a huge Alex band and the calling fan, have been since the very beginning. Bought all the records on numerous formats CD Apple Music etc seen him live twice but the only thing that really gets me down he’s been through so much but I wish he wouldn’t keep telling us there is a record coming 😡 it’s been about five years now i’ll constantly telling us that will be a record this year will be a record this year and I again I can’t stress enough I know he’s gone through a lot but I wish he will just get this music out I am a fan of him on Patreon and supporter so I listen to a lot of his music it’s things like his album is not available in the UK anymore on iTunes because the deal with the EMI I’m guessing they got into financial ruin it’s just a massive shame watching 20 years ago to now, Dude need to just get music released don’t talk about anymore don’t promise us fans just release it release, release, release We all deserve it 20+ years of support come on Alex We all have so much respect for you and the way you wouldn’t let Geffin bully you and recording with artists like akon, I will always support you dude!! We have spoken a few times over the years !! Always big support from England
