Just a question about an animation in a column. I have a backgroundimage in this column and there are the options to zoom in or zoom out. I would like to use the zoom out function. But during the animation the opacity of the image gets reduced and partly reveals the writings in the background of the page, which is unwanted. Is there any way to change this ?

I'm currently working on a website and I'd like to see an option to create a switch to a light and dark-version of the website. Many websites already have a dark theme switch, but this is still missing in Avada. Or at least, in the version I use.

Helpful trick with reversing the 1-8 swatches to give an alternative. Promted a thought: are there plans for a feature in future Avada versions to incorporate a solution for both where a designer that is willing to invest the time to produce two versions could offer viewers the choice of how to view?

This is not entirely true. I am using Avada and in the Live Builder I can see my image very sharp in the image element. The image has a resolution of 700px and is placed in an element half the size. But after publishing the page the image is blurry.

Ty for the tutorial, but tbh it would be nice if you could release those videos with a slower pace for complete beginners. E.g. if you add an element in this tutorial the tutor just rushes over it with the mouse and clicks on it. But in my case (i am completly new to this topic) i always have to rewind the video a couple of times to actually see what you have clicked

Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you find the pace a bit fast, but user retention being what it is on KZbin, the videos need to be well paced. Watching the video a couple of times is also a good thing. You will always pick up more that way. The videos are deliberately paced with all users in mind. If they are too slow, more intermediate users will be frustrated. Try slowing the video down a bit or watch it a few times.

Thanks for the great overview! I would like to see how the various blog postcards work in action but am loathe to keep doing the house-keeping involved downloading individual pages to a live site then having to delete everything. A local instal would be the way for me to experiment and delete the whole thing. Is the info up-to-date and easy to follow in the Avada guide? Also, I have used MAMP before but it was ages ago. Is there something new or recommended for MAC users?

Hi , thanks for your comments. Yes, experimenting on a live site is not a good idea. A local install is an absolute must have for anyone looking to learn more about Avada. Think of it as an Avada playground. Local - localwp.com/ - is easy to setup and use for beginners. We have it running on both Windows and Mac no problem.

This is a useful new feature, but I do miss having the wireframe editing option on the Edit Live tab as well as the back-end editor. Ideally, the wireframe option would have continued to be supported alongside the new Navigator. I did encounter some bugs with the Live + wireframe mode, so I guess it was difficult to maintain for some reason, but I was used to switching between back-end - Live - Live with wireframe in my own workflow

is there any way to reduce the height of the container to less than 100px, like to 50px or 20px? I don't understand how to do that.. it always stuck at 100px and doesn't go below that value even if I enter negative values

I want you to do more videos, where you give an inside how you create containers with specific elements like this one. Especially how to create nested columns in order to keep the design or layout, or motion column on hover and so on... that's a bit tricky when building on my own when having texts, titles and images to set in place.

Great video as always. My question: What's the difference between Column Spacing and Margin? Is it just one is for top and bottom while the other is left and right? They both deal with spacing OUTSIDE the column and both are adjusted with the purple drag handles.

From the devs - Columns spacing is on the container and will set the spacing between ALL columns inside of the container. It is the same as setting the column spacing options to the same value on each individual column of the container. So, it is a shortcut to easily set the spacing evenly for for all columns. Obviously, when using the individual settings on the column, one can achieve completely different values per column and also per left/right. Difference to margin is mainly, that the left/right margin is taken into account for some calcs in the container to make sure the overall widths are adding up.

Is it possible to change animation for a submenu element? For example for the main menu I can simply change the value of the “Main Menu Item Border Size” attribute and it will change the shape of the background to a line which underlines a menu element from below. But I couldn’t find same attribute on the submenu tab. Thanks is advance! =)

Could you add English subtitles to all the videos? I am a Korean learner. While KZbin automatically generates English subtitles, the quality of translations significantly deteriorates when using the translation feature for other languages. On the other hand, if you manually input English subtitles, the translation feature works much more accurately. This would be beneficial not only for Korean learners but for all non-native English speakers. I understand this may be a bit of extra work, but please consider adding English subtitles manually. Thank you so much for your efforts.
