Just dunk the root ball in a bucket of water and let the water wash the dirt away, or, spray it off with a garden hose. Nothing is more gentle than water. It will also keep the roots from drying out.

Did it survive? Evergreen trees like pines, junipers, cypress etc. totally depend on microbes present in their root for bringing them food and without them its really hard for them to survive. So washing the soil off the roots is not advisable. For deciduous trees its not a problem.

Hi! I like bonsai fruit tree especially we don't have enough space for the fruit tree, that's the reason why I want bonsai. My question, can we still used ordinary soil and not bonsai soil.? Do you think if I'm going to used soil, does the custard apple tree wont grow big or grow tall.? Thank you. 🙏😇

If u r killing most of your trees , you are not doing bonsai 🙏

Rather than report into the bonsai plate... First shape it into a tree like structure...

Just a suggestion, instead of cutting most of the roots, and risking the plant ... U can try doing ground layer and then cut yhe bad roots when u get a radial root base from ground layer

Hi bro, don't plant a bonsai in a colourful pot rather place it in a dull coloured pot so that whenever anyone sees the bonsai his/her eyes must not get attracted by the pot.
