heyman, used logic many years but i am trying out fl. how do you set things up in the left side bar without the beatmaking window. And how do you make one midi box unique so when you edit one of them you dont fuck up every single one

Thank you so much for sharing these details. I know this is an older video and you've grown so much since, but your words and sincerity from this time have compelled me to leave my own here in return, to confirm my gratitude and maybe also as simply an unabashed cry. After years of being kindly steered away from the passions that I clearly won't grow out of at this point, I've chosen a similar life situation as the one you described, and feel like I'm the only one who believes in me. At the same time, the thought of actually giving up is so preposterous and out of the question. Hoping to keep a grain of your like courage in the front of my mind until I have something to show of my love that others will understand 🙏 May dreams be blessed.

Do you happen to know any good ways to make a dark cinematic brass sound in FL Studio? I can’t afford to buy those $400-$500.

i love your stuff but you have a habit of explaining too much on something without actually letting us hear it and moving on to the next thing like "whoa....we need to hear what it actually sounds like to be able to compare our stuff to". It's ok to slow down a little especially on complex stuff like this.

I am an experienced musician but just a beginner in terms of orchestration with VSTs. I just realized a couple of days ago that I was losing the realistic panning AFTER applying my reverb effects at the Master track level. This video is helping me push the right button to get it right (or at least it has inspired me to investigate further). So, thank you!

Good morning Mr. Alex. I am so glad that I stumbled on to your video today. I was totally empress with your enthusiasm and passion on how you introduced some of your ideas about orchestration today. You made me subscribe to your channel today. I have no experience with writing for orchestration but, after seeing what you did with just a few chords made me want to explore it a little more. Thank you for your enthusiasm today and for sharing a little of your gift of ideas. I am a vocalist and former Choir Director/Musician working on my Bucket List. I am using Cubase 13 at the moment and learning how to use it better. I never thought that I could get some of what you did today in just 4 chords. You open up some new possibilities for me today. Thank you again for that. I wish you continued success with all of your future videos and musical endeavors and I also wish you continued success financially as well. I appreciate you waking up us beginners to new possibilities with learning more about orchestration. You have a wonderful gift. I am looking to hear more from you in the future. Have a wonderful day and weekend young Man. Thank you again.

It has to be said, not all DAW making companies have the same goals, including the type of customers they are aiming to satisfy. So saying FL Studio sucks for orchestral music is not necessarily an insult to FL, they just don't really care that much for now. There are better options. But yeah, it takes time and experience to run into limitations. It is great if you are just starting, and it is amazing if you're making other types of music.

This exercise may have genuinely saved my future as a composer. I've gone to school for theory and composition but the issue is that I've only ever learned how to write in a vacuum. I can write a melody, I can do counterpoint, I know all these different methods and techniques, but I DON'T know how to put it all together into an actual song. I just get stuck, then I give up. It's because I've never actually studied writing full songs, so of course I get stuck. Thank you, I'm going to use this a lot

I’ve always written songs with ambitious arrangements, and for the longest time I thought I had to wait years until I can afford to get a chamber orchestra to do it for me. But you - self taught and doing everything in FL Studio - have inspired me.
