Why don’t take note off the chain tension with the bike on the center stand???

Just sitting in my chair, I was ready to do a high five with you at the top. This was the perfect video for me. I had known about Canoe Mountain for a while but had no intel on it. It is beyond my skill level and likely my determination as well. My bike is a bit lighter but lacks in suspension and clearance. I am sure a good rider would get my machine up there. I am not even sure I would try on a WR250. But, even though your video will likely stop me at making an attempt, it is exactly what I needed. It is a biit of a jaunt from Calgary and my time might be better spent elsewhere. Loose rocks, boulders, and steep + narrow in places are definitely combinations I am not good at. And yes, I won't improve unless I ride more of this but, at 68, I am better suited for other rides. Plus, doing some filming myself I know the camera does not show the steepness. Congrats.

Thank you for the lengthy comment and compliment. I really appreciate it. I found out about Canoe Mountain Rd purely by chance, searching the internet for interesting roads in Canada. Once I realized it was something that I could ride up, I couldn't get it out of my head. Managed to convince a few friends to accompany me; the things I make my friends do haha! Kudos to you for still riding at your age, as I also have many friends in their 60s who ride dirt every weekend.

@@zordflea Thought I would re reply from my motorcycle channel account. Back to you getting roads into your head, I searched on The Worlds Most Dangerous Roads and put all the Alberta and BC ones into a power point. Of the 60, in Alberta and BC I have managed to do all but 26, some of which I may never manage. Then of the other 14 or so across Canada, I have managed about 4 of them. I like to ride routes and then share them for others that may want to see what an average rider on an average bike (19 inch front wheel, cast wheels, 6 in ground clearance) might be able to achieve. As I type this, your video is playing in the background so while I am not seeing the video I am hearing it. I will forward it to a riding friends, but I do not suspect any of them will entice me to try it.

Well this system works on any motorcycle?
@zordflea
@zordflea 8 ай бұрын
That system was built specifically for the Multistrada's suspension system. However, if your bike also has a high end electronic controlled suspension system, chances are that the suspension manufacturer has some kind of upgrade.

Many thanks! As you say, it's an urban commuter but... a French couple, after a month long test ride around Morocco, went on a round the world trip on two identical Kawasaki Versys X 300 with no major problem, they only change their tires in... Japan 'cause their bikes are rather light. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Csk3Z7lrJmors&ab_channel=MotoMagazine

They are shitty switches which cost £25 for something that should cost about a £10 at most, had to many of them 🤮

F750 here, same problem. This microswitch has NOTHING to do on a motorcycle, it does the work from an electrical point of view, but is too weak for this use; there are many types of switches that can do the same job, but are way more resistant (I have a 1995 Virago with the original switch). It´s almost as if someone designed this to get damaged and receive service ... Just got a new one from Ascycles (29 USD) and will change it myself; there´s no way I´m going to pay 600 for this job.
