While they have metal wheels, the axles are plastic and the plastic on plastic doesn't provide the least amount of friction. I've been replacing mine with intermountain wheel sets and the difference is definitely noticeable!

I'm really glad he saved it, I don't like to see the big crashes, they cost money, I've had my share of that. It's even worse than hearing a rod start to knocking when you spent all your paper delivery money on parts and machine work when you're in highschool it's more than you ever want to spend, lol. I'm 74 years old now and much more careful. Thanks for sharing this video with all of us, it brings back many memories.
