I went to my uncle’s memorial yesterday, who died at age 70 because of illness, and I just wanted to write something down. My uncle had always been kind to the people around him. He cared and loved his family very much. It was definitely a tragedy to lose him for his family. The speech his son gave really got us all. “I have achieved nothing in my life, but you had always been proud of me. I don’t have a big dream, because my dream has already come true 37 years ago, that I just wanted my parents and my sister with me. I wanted to be with you til you were 80, 90 even 100. I still can’t believe that you just died in front me like that. I’m so sorry that I didn’t take good care of you. I promise I will take good care of mom and sister and her kids, so you can rest easy without worrying.” It got me emotional hearing my cousin say that. The meaning of life is to live, and nothing matters when you are missing. My cousin is also a kind person just like his dad. My uncle was lucky to spend his late life with the people he loved. My uncle may be gone physically, but his love will never be gone.
