I never bothered to learn much about the evolution of moult. Any chance of getting the links you mention in the comments?

Birds aren't real. They are government surveillance drones and biological recording devices.

I'm interested in on-animal configurations of ARU's that were mentioned but no manufacturers or DIY implementations were mentioned. Wondering if Jerry could guide us who are working on this with wolves in Yellowstone National Park.

Amazing work, was surprised to see Helton works in photoshop and ends up with fixed raster images.

Very interesting work. Are all scientific illustrations down digitally now?
@shichahn2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not all! It mostly comes down to the illustrator's preferred media in most cases, I'd say. I know of artists making really beautiful illustrations in gouache, watercolor, ink, and so on. I've even started doing more with colored pencil and ink myself lately just because I think it's good practice to do lots of different things with art anyway. Digital is a lot more flexible (in my opinion, and in how I use it), but not the only way to go!

Amazing! Peter Pyle continues to open new frontiers in bird molt studies. Thank you for your hard and inspiring work.

I learned a ton from this - e.g. adult Belted Kingfishers apparently undergo a complete molt inside their nest cavities after breeding 😱- thank you, Peter Pyle!
