I bought this game for super cheap a long time ago and it sat in my backlog for years. This game is surprisingly awesome. Really enjoying it. Glad it got the FPS boost treatment

The rain graphics in F1 23 are rubbish. As someone who’s raced these games since the very first one on PS1, I can safely say they are c*ap. When it’s heavy conditions, there’s barely any spray from the tyres and even worse, there’s hardly any from cars in front. In older games if you were following another car the screen would be covered in spray making it hard to work out where to brake. The physics of the droplets on the helmet and head rest are awful. Bloody hell, in F1 97 we could actually remove tear off strips and your visor got dirty. F1 games have taken a massive step back in my opinion. You might have loads of rubbish extras and multiplayer modes, but the core of the game pales in comparison to older games.
