Hi! Honestly not sure where the tires are, but they probably came from a LEGO car or truck set from the team members. I will update if I receive a response from them. Good luck! Garry

Hello Mr Code, Great Video Mr. Code! However, I have two questions for you, one concerning hardware and one concerning software. Hardware: Most professional teams use the big SPIKE motors for movement. Is there a reason to use them apart from the fact that they are more powerful (f.e. are the big motors more precise than the medium/medium large ones) ? Software: Can you please make a video on using a PID and acceleration + decelleration combined with the gyro straight (distance based) and gyro turn from your last FLL guide video?
@CreatorAcademyAustralia10 күн бұрын
Hi! Large motors have more torque than the medium motors, but according to SPIKE documentation the medium motors have more speed. Since FLL challenges need a lot of precision, most teams will go for the high torque large motors. In regards to the PID distance + gyro code, I have made a members-only tutorial here: kzbin.infoJ8C_cJ0vu2E Thanks for watching! Garry

In Finals 3 I was watching it on the big screen at the front and watching SRA's auton and be like: "祝你mogo盖一个红色top ring!诶,好!祝你mogo再盖一个红色top ring!" and to my surprise it quite nicely turned out that indeed they did get two red rings at the end of auton

We are getting an error with stop=motor_pair.HOLD/BREAK/COAST. Can you please help?
@CreatorAcademyAustralia14 күн бұрын
Hi there! It looks like SPIKE moved the stopping mode from the motor_pair module to the motor module. In the imports, you will also need to add: import motor Then in the motor movement parameter, you need to change stop=motor_pair.COAST to stop=motor.COAST I have updated the code on github, thanks for pointing this out! how does the 93131c robot work?
@CreatorAcademyAustralia24 күн бұрын
It has 4 motor holonomic X drive, 2 motor intake+conveyor, manual ratchet PTO for catapult. 2 Pneumatic pistons to lift ball to catapult, 1 piston for catapult trigger. Garry
@shjasjdsuisuyias23 күн бұрын
@@CreatorAcademyAustralia How does the catapult ratchet work? Is it just a pto that stores motion?
@CreatorAcademyAustralia23 күн бұрын
For that I will need to check with the team. My understanding is that there is a winch held by ratchet, and catapult is on a linear slide. Garry

Highest score makes sense to me as a tiebreaker, but b/c robots (rather than alliances) are DQ'd in IQ, it seems like your suggested change should work- though maybe go beyond just highest score to compare all scores from highest to lowest in sequence in your second bullet.

Would your team have all missions in one program or does each “mission grouping” use a different program number slot on the hub? Do your teams “assume” the attachments are in correct position to start or just use “rotation” to do actions or do they use “position” to do actions? Thank you for these lessons, they are answering many questions the students have asked!
@CreatorAcademyAustralia26 күн бұрын
Hi! We usually have all missions in one program, then you can use the ‘mission variable’ in the video to control which missions to run. We also have teams that use a color sensor to detect the attachment being mounted so that the robot runs the correct mission. Thanks for watching, and good luck for your teams! Garry
