Glad to see it in action, its not too loud and the height is ideal. glad you chose a 55" tv. I plan to do this with an LG OLED for the invisible room effect. While waiting for it, building the frame is gonna be fun.

It cost you 150 dollars because you were being wasteful and use expensive filament. If you just use a premade cad model from thingiverse and only print it once than you could get it done with a 17 dollar roll of amazon basics white pla.
@watsonexpedition78943 жыл бұрын
Would you mind posting your recommended model from Thingiverse? My filament cost here was around $20 per roll. Do keep in mind there's 28 packs involved here, for a total of 56 prints, holding almost 4,000 18650's.

PLA. This is intended for Powerwall setup at like... 0.1C absolute max rate, so basically no heat.

WELP! I bought this and just opened it. It's at least missing the top plastic cap, so I don't know what else it might be missing. But it's not working. I connected everything and when I click either the "Extended" or "Retracted" buttons on the wired remote, the power adapter makes a click sound but nothing's happening. The instructions are the worst I've ever NEEDED to read and well... I'm afraid my motor is dead. Is there something you had to do when you took it out of the box?

@@jakemcculloch22 That's a huge topic of debate, so I can't really give you a firm value. For me, I had nearly 2,000 almost identical cells so I just rejected the worst performers. I think it was about 0.05V per month or so.

this is a sweet charging /discharging station , i been collecting 18650ies for about 4 years not and i have around 7 thousand cells now , so its time to start testing them and weeding out the bad ones, my plan is to build a power wall for my home and use solar but i heard from many people its dangerous , whats your thoughts on it? also 80% of all my cell are from scooter packs , and since i work at a scrap yard / disposal plant i get all of them for free, and the other 20% is laptop batteries , all the scooter packs came off bird scooters so im hoping they are some what decent cells , anyways thanks for the video, an d have a good one
@watsonexpedition78945 жыл бұрын
Do your best to know the risks... understand what can go wrong and why. Investigate all the documented failures you can find, and avoid them. Anything which stores energy can be dangerous, but we put laptops on our laps, in our offices and homes, some people even put them in their bed! So 18650's are perfectly safe unless you do something unsafe with them.

That sounds really cool! We don't particularly have a theme, but will be using as much wood as possible. Walls will likely be whitewashed shiplap. Also probably white or off-white cabinets with butcher block countertop. Flooring will be natural thin-sliced hardwood.

Fuel Trim is usually caused from a dirty injector dumping too much or not enough fuel. It's probably got a dirty pintle. Run a can of SeaFoam, Lucas, or other non-ethanol based injector cleaner. Driving with that code won't hurt the engine. Just maybe loose a little fuel efficiency and a few ponies.
@watsonexpedition78945 жыл бұрын
Korishan good info thanks. I’ll give seafoam a shot. I also read someone saying it could even be the fuel cap. Mine does feel a bit odd so I might just go ahead and replace that too.
@korishan5 жыл бұрын
@@watsonexpedition7894 Ahhh yes, the loose fuel cap. That could as well. Stupid vapor pressure sensor. With the seafoam, only use on about 10 gallons. 5 gallons would be better. That is, what's in the tank, not what you add to mix it up 🧐

@watsonexpedition78945 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s getting real! Maintenance concerns are exactly why I’m doing the home automation approach... only thing I need to run most places is a single 12v power wire (with chassis as ground). I do need to figure out wire chases and stuff.

Those cell holders are very nice!! I think as long as you test your cells properly, let them sit for self-discharge testing, etc, you won't need to replace cells often, if at all. The hope is the packs all degrade at the same rate so you don't have to keep playing with them once built and in service.
@watsonexpedition78946 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Yes, I'm hoping that I won't have an issue. These are salvage unused cells, so besides a few cells testing low due to sitting discharged for too long, they're all testing at basically their brand new capacity (2137 is current average, and 2150 is rated capacity). If I was using salvaged cells from known bad packs, or using cells that were of questionable quality, I'd be more nervous.
