The Rock player was awful. How could he not see all the plays with Recurring? He could have won but didn't do a thing!

As a kid, I built an entire deck around the black and white knight. Splashed in some red for bloodlusts to maximize the First Strike and piss my friends off. Glad to see the theme continues.

Nice video! This type of games is exactly what i am looking for, casual kitchen table without sideboard🙂 I want to play again with my old friend like we did when we were young back in '94 😀 may i ask you which of your old school decks do you think are the most fun and ideally also balanced for 1v1? Thanks for your suggestions in advance. Keep up the great content!!

Thanks! I like pairs like Disco Troll/Erhnamgeddon and Dead Guy Ale/Erhnam Burn'em for duels, but I can't say they're the best.

I love videos like these 🤍🖤 I remember being a kid almost 30 years ago, and seeing White Knight and Black Knight for the first time. I thought they were so cool and powerful (and they still are quite strong in the old school format!) To me, they have a deep, nostalgic value

I saw them late, but was charmed too - looks like it’s actually well-designed cards :)

I traded like half my collection to my cousin for a white knight. These were the end all of cool cards back then. The nostalgia is very real.

Thank you so far for the content. Finding your channel, and moving to a place with a small Old School/ Premodern scene inspired me to finally sell my whole modern collection and start building some decks for those formats which are the only ones I'd like to play anymore. I hope you keep making some content in the future, it's been great so far. Cheers man!

The thing about collection isn't really a strong point imo, since you can choose what to collect. For example you can simply choose to collect a set of the standard cards and not bother with the special treatments and showcase frames. The difference is that a collection of an old set will hold more value if you look at it from an investment point of view. Now for an actual question, I see that OS '93/'94 format is popular, and understandably so. However, I find the original 1993 frame to be rough and unpolished at times. The wording on the cards is also rough. I much prefer the 1997 updated frame (first used in Mirage if I remember correctly), which is similar to the original, but it is a lot more polished and cleaner/better looking (in my opinion), and the wording of the effects is also a lot more structured and organized. I do not mean to talk bad about the older cards, just pointing out why I prefer the updated frame. Is there a format that is equivalent to the '93/'94 format, but for the updated frame from 1997 to 2002? Or at least a format where I can make a deck using only cards from 1997 to 2002? My favorite sets are the Invasion/Planeshift/Apocalypse block, along with 7th Edition, and I would love to have decks using cards from these sets.

Yes, this point is not strong; regarding your question - yes, the Premodern format is exactly what you need: premodernmagic.com!

Vertical cam is really good :D, also spelltable is very good for camera play. you can scan cards there, and better quality than whereby etc. i dont know why oldshool/premodern players are so happy for whereby, when spelltable is alot better :)

Although there is no rotation, there is quite some diversity. It’s quite a deep cardpool with some very interesting cards. This is already true for the 93/94 formats, and even more so in the premodern format. And another reason. The community.

can you recommend a budget friendly sideboard for a large tournament setting? is paralyze still better to run than Terror maindeck despite Terror's drawbacks in a large event?
@brightsdaysmtg2 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure that for a big event you'll want some Discs against dangerous permanents and some Scepters + Glooms + Greeds against control (I also like Underworld Dreams). All other cards are optional. Paralyse is safer in the base game than Terror, but if you are confident that Terror will kill creature in most games - you can use it in the main deck. But I don't like to take risks in this case :)

From russian MTG community - no one even heard about it here, so it's probably just a fake trying to catch some new and unknowing players trying to get into magic and buy this stuff instead. It wouldn't be tournament legal or anything, so it's just a blatant scam for a quick money.
@brightsdaysmtg2 ай бұрын
I would like to believe that this is a prank or trolling, and in the area of scam it will not go that far - but who knows :(
@Calamity223212 ай бұрын
@@brightsdaysmtg At least for now I don't see it popping up when I search for MTG in my browser (tried fresh from reset too), but someone might go digging for cheaper options due to money issues and stumble upon it. Unfortunately nothing we can do except warning others about this kind of stuff.

The most popular applications are Tolaria.app and Whereby. The first is a specific MtG, the second is just a calling app - and both are free to use.
