@buddyclink At the time of this video, they were using de-militarized M-14s. They now use Springfield 1903s, as do all Texas state high schools. The government could not afford to supply real M-14s time after time of cadets breaking them, so springfield replicas were issued.

@boss6116 thats why ur a 1st year stupent n know nothin about armed drill...armed drill has nothin 2 do wit all the spins its 2 make sure everythin u do is in sync...yeah u gotta have nice flips but flippin is nothin if its shitty

i dont see how u guys can win with that exhibition. i mean im a first year on armed drill team and we do more spins. ur movements are good, adn i see a very good aliment, but make sure u spin those rifles a little bit more.

but only our Color Guard; PT& Academics&Unarmed might compete. cowtown has a strict policy this years. over 50 pages of SOP procedures.

At my school if they droped the gun they had to to chin ups 10 laps a track field(about 1/4 a mile one time around the track) then you would have to do 10 push up with your hand extended out with the gun balanced on it.

In my school, Army Jrotc, if you dropped your rifle, you have to extend your arms foward, palms down, and have the rifle on top if it. You first hold it there for like 3 mins, then squat, then without dropping your rifle, go to push up position. Redo process.

Was it only my school or something, parade rest is different at my school.
