No estoy muy seguro de la fecha exacta. Pero eso explica por qué no le dan a Giggs 42. Mira a sus top 30, todos debutaron después del año 2001. Mientras tanto, todos los centrocampistas de élite de los 90 como Zidane, Rivaldo, Laudrup, Luis Enrique ni siquiera están entre los 100 mejores (hasta ahi llega la lista).

The only one that can be a bit confused is the assist number 24 to Ronaldo against Milan. If you see, Giggs kicks the corner, Ronaldo heads the ball, and the ball goes towards the Goal and in the moment of crossing the line, it seems that between Dida´s arm, Heinze and the other defender of Milano they touch the ball again. It could be an own goal depending on the interpretation. But the rest of them are very ,very clear.

Would be nice if you push to Opta to know what are the deducted assists. It seems very weird to me that they deduct 1 assist for each one. 😆

@@marconagle4465 It would only be an OG if the original shot was not on target, deflected shots are still considered goals by the attacker if they are on target. So it wouldn't be an OG - though I think Dida gets the final touch. Regardless, officially Ronaldo is credited as the scorer and we'd be taking one of his goals away, I don't think we'd do that. As far as Opta, I tried asking them why they deducted 1 from each. They may be stricter about deflected assists. They say they allow deflected assists as long as the original player was going to receive the ball without a deflection. Interpretation of that may be more strict than you'd imagine.
