I think it’s interesting to read it as an adult realizing Louis Carroll had some first hand experience with a hookah. 💨

Loved it!! I’ve never read the book and I’m going to follow along next time with a vintage copy that I have. Alice is a lot more complex than I realized 😆 As a kid raised as an only child, I can relate to playing games with myself, talking to myself, and having a wild imagination. I still talk out loud to myself all the time, it’s just a habit from being alone a lot! I think if she was awake while all this was happening in her head we’d be in schizophrenia territory but Alice is just a vivid dreamer!

Hi Mary Beth, Laura and Nikki. Thank you so much for starting the Podcast once again. I am going to enjoy Alice in Wonderland. I am sure. You make these stories interesting and fun. I really enjoyed Frankenstein. Loved little Frank. Can't wait to hear more about Alice. I remember reading it when i was younger and then reading it to my kids when they were younger too. You always make everything so much fun. I look so forward to Fridays and now the Podcast. again. Sorry we never finished Mad Men but i have watched it several times. Thanks again for sharing. You ladies are the best. Take Care. ❤

i remember making a dress for myself in the early 80s in home ec class. my pattern size was 10. my dress size at the boutiques was 4. my dress size now (if i were the same measurements) would be 0. regarding marilyn monroe being a size 16.

Love this series! IMO, Helen represents the worst possible scenario for Betty. She knows in the back of her mind that Don isn’t honest but refuses to think about it or accept it. Whenever other women talk about infidelity, like Helen or Francine (later on), she plays dumb. She also gets one of her tremor attacks when she sees Helen moving into her house by herself. Helen represents what she could turn into if she lets herself see Don for who he really is

This was a delight! I love "Mad Men," and I loved your channel already (and vintage). It's so fun to hear each one of your impressions on key scenes. This is one of my favorite episodes too. I wonder if Betty is so reactive to Helen because she was taught and prepared to "handle" men but not other women and I agree that she actually felt guilt and caught off guard about the lock of hair. Thanks for another great podcast!

I am enjoying your step-by-step dissection of each episode. Mad Men gets little attention here on KZbin, .I guess because it does not have the fights, killings and other gross scenes of the other more favourite shows. You all three have the admiration for the stories and details of Mad Men that I have too. I am watching your series on this YT channel. I know there is another one with the same podcasts, but I started here and will stay here, and give this channel some views and likes too.
