My daughter and I flew from BOS to MUC enroute to Berlin this past August in business class. The service was just "ok" and the bed kept losing air. The WC was just a standard WC unlike the First Class WC. I actually think the service was better on our connection from MUC to BER! If you haven't seen it yet, the British Airways A380 business class WC is huge as well.... on par with the LH first class WC.

I was supposed to fly on the -8 from EWR to FRA in November 2023 (seat 86K). The plane we were scheduled on had some issues so they swapped it out with a -400 which meant some moving around of seat assignments due to the smaller upper deck. The service was fantastic and the seat set-up was "just ok" for a business class product. I was a little disappointed with "nuts in a bag" vs headed nuts in a proper bowl. I'm really looking forward to the Allegris upgrades on their other big planes over the few years. I have flown economy though in the LH 747-230 back in 1989 and 1990 and the -8i in 2017. Still a great airplane!!!

I know they’re outdated, but I love Lufthansa’s first + business class cabins. They’re so simple and spacious. Some airlines (Emirates) cram as much stuff into their cabins as possible, but that just comes across as tacky, overstimulating, and cramped to me.

Did they give matress cover? Served hot breakfeast cold and even not apologized? Sad for LH and Germany. The culture of discipline is down the slope! It is good that u have something to write.

Lufthansa its not an airlines its a bus company their seats are very old and no privacy and the meal presentation its very poor!

Happy New Year! I was just in Frankfurt last month. By far my favorite aircraft which I have flown many times is the 747. I recall flying 747 TWA, Pan-Am and British Airways in the 1980s - 1990's. Back when you were treated with respect and care....even in coach. Nowadays, I've since retired but travel often. Since I reside in Dallas, TX I naturally fly mostly AA for international and domestic. Sadly, it's tough to get on any 747 in the One World Alliance...unless I fly on JAL. But I do love your video and thanks for posting!

What a pity that Lufthansa will be retiring the 747s and 340s later this year Service looked pretty good but you shouldn't expect anything less despite the lowish cost of the flight, unfortunately economy is still pretty ordinary.

@@johnp139 let me give some more context: this was a family trip to Europe, I will be as clear as possible that I am 16 and not paying for the vacation myself. However I had been saving for a little while and decided to treat myself as a personal present for my birthday. By upgrading myself to business class using my own money.

That's such a beautiful plane. Great price on the overall trip and even more worth it since nobody was seated beside you! We written commentary, quality editing and production value. Maybe one day we will hear a voice over! That welcoming EWR carpeted baggage claim area, so modern and open but the carpet is so odd. Great video. Happy New Year!

Nice video! Yes, I’ve been on many 747s, beginning 1974, TWA JFK-LAX. Many others too: TWA, Lufthansa, Delta, El Al. Unfortunately, I was also on the aircraft, many years before the crash, that eventually became TWA 800, which I didn’t realize until years later when I was digitizing old slides. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnLZf5ejjrOdn7Msi=CYFsjEYTcp-CywhC. I was only on the A-340-600 once, and it was nice, but my most vivid memory is of the downstairs lavatories! I just recently flew on my first A-350 in October, two months ago. Also very nice, but I actually prefer the 787; it’s quieter in the cabin, and you barely feel any turbulence, perhaps because of the wing-flex? Idk.

@ It was very creepy to discover. It was in a tray of old slides that I was digitizing. When I saw the serial number, I wondered which aircraft was in the accident. So I googled it. It was chilling, but it happened more than ten years after I flew on it. And then another 20 years when I realized the coincidence.

La Compagnie is also a more affordable all-business class to Europe, but with their small fleet of A321neo's, they only fly to Paris-Orly, Nice and Milan, from Newark. The food looked amazing and the service seemed great. The restroom looked very cramped. The seat did not look fully flat, or was that just the way you had it?

The only option we have left to book in first class is either 5 CD or 5 AB on the A321 Neo. If we book 5 CD did you find the flyers behind you in Comfort+ 10 DEF bothersome due to no separation and will they need to push your seats to get up for bathroom breaks? Also, I take it that 5 AB does not recline and you will probably be bothered by flyers waiting-using the bathroom behind and the constant flushing noise? Thoughts on these seats?

Nice review The 764 is a very cool airplane, I'm happy to have logged a few flights both on UA and DL internationally. It has larger windows like the 777, the aircraft is 18" taller than 763. The cockpit is upgraded glass cockpit, And obviously with the raked wingtip that you'll also see on 777's. Only 2 carriers purchased, DL and CO. The food looked great, dinner at least, but you barely ate? Lol, too many cookies maybe DL 764 ATL MIA UA 764 IAH MUC DL 764 ATL AMS

out of all the airports I have ever flown out of commercially (I fly GA as well so) BTV is my favorite. I just wish when they did the renovations, they did not cut off public access to the observation tower. At least the parking garage is still open for plane spotting. While we do not get a lot of big aircraft here, the plane spotting can be pretty good as well. I post all my planespotting stuff on my That Vermont Pilot channel www.youtube.com/@thatvermontpilot826

As of late I've had to start flying United (because of destinations) and while I still loathe ORD and IAH I have to say the first class service is truly a step above Delta and AA; FAs are helpful and bend over backward; more than once I had an FA go back to coach to get a "meal for purchase" box for me because I craved a certain food, and they were more than accommodating when I wanted to change my pre-ordered meal selection.
