At this point Rick had only recently woken up and hadn’t seen the horrors of the new world Shane on the other hand has seen what people are willing to do and adapted quicker then anyone else creating a literal good cop and bad cop dynamic.

So happy I’m here for this series. Season 2 is slow but compensates with character building and is the groundwork for future Seasons to me Season 2 is the best Season for character development Daryl really becomes one of the best characters next Season in my opinion so I’m looking forward to hearing what you think about that.

Blocking the door implies he thought Rick was alive but let’s be honest Leaving a man in a coma in the middle of a Zombie infested wasteland while the world falls apart 99 times out of 100 that’s a death sentence I don’t blame Shane for telling Lori he was dead.

Where Dale is concerned I don’t feel like Dale forced her hand He decided that if she was gonna stay and die then he was too She is the last person in the world he cares for.

I feel the same way about Lori lol

S1 E6 is my favorite episode of the series.... (the CDC, the false sense of security, the Shane drama, the near-death tension) I miss being able to see TWD episodes for the first time... Seasons 1, 2, etc... were so fun to see for the first time... I wish i could unsee this show, then watch it again as a newbie... it was so fun, wondering what was gonna happen next...

I always get annoyed when people brush off TWD as a stupid zombie show! My recommendation is to watch the first 4 seasons and then decide! The show is a journey! Each season is a chapter. Today’s reactors are so lucky that they can binge watch this show! I watched it as each episode premiered in real time! Sunday nights were very stressful! You had to wait a week or months to find out what happens next! RIP season 1

I do have to say, you are probably among the top haters of Lori I’ve ever encountered haha. While it is completely understandable with the explanation you gave (and I’m so sorry that happened to you! And I deeply admire the devotion you have towards your husband), it’ll be interesting to see how your opinion of Lori changes (if it does!) as the show continues. Not to completely defend Lori, but within the comics, Lori and Shane’s affair was not as deep and lengthy as they portray in the show. In the comics, it was a one night stand. Of course that doesn’t excuse the infidelity but the amount of dislike and outright hatred you might feel for Lori was definitely inflated by the showrunners for drama and to give a bad guy in Rick’s personal life. She might be at times manipulative (call it that Southern housewife nature) and wishy washy in her desires, but nobody can be perfect. Her character is complicated and she truly does love Rick, she just wants him to love her back in a way that she understands. Their relationship was rocky before, and she just didn’t feel loved or cared for before because Rick wasn’t as emotionally open and devoted to her as she felt she was to him. She felt like he was more involved with his work and saving the world than their relationship and didn’t express himself in a way she got. And Shane is no angel himself, as he was an equal if not more willing partner in the cheating, in telling her that he was dead and not telling her what she was doing was wrong. It takes two to tango, after all, and all the blame can’t be placed squarely on Lori’s shoulders as Shane also should have said no. You’ll see that Shane is an overbearing and possessive man, and how easily that more intense and overtly emotionally nature could sway Lori, who is trying to deal with her grief and loss and the end of the world and is looking for comfort and protection and an emotional connection. But you’ll see the development of her, and her and Rick’s relationship, as the series continues. I can’t spoil her future storyline but gosh, is it sad. All I can say about her is that she is trying, as inelegant and fumbling as any human can in this world.

Aw baby Glenn! He’s going to be such an important player to keep an eye on. And the glimpse you see of Rick’s intensity when he takes down Merle is just a taste of how he will evolve.

I arrived a little late to your reaction series but I’m catching up. So looking forward to another person experiencing this mainstay of the zombie genre! Also the amount of times I uncomfortably chuckled from your comments about certain characters or events (because of future knowledge)… I look forward to your response as the seasons progress hahaha. And yes, Lenny James (the actor for Morgan) deserves all the praise for his emotional performance! He was such a powerhouse and his acting was enough of a draw alone to make me hooked on this series.

It is a great series, hopefully there will be reactions to the other seasons, although I warn you, very difficult things are coming for the protagonists.

The early seasons of TWD were a Walker work in progress! Trying to understand this new world! Trying to make the right decision and deal with consequences later! Keep your eyes on Carol and Daryl! In the old world they were damaged people! Perhaps their past lives could very well prepare them for this new world!

The only reason I don't blame Lori up to this point is because she thought he was dead then her and Shane were spending every waking moment together for 2 months while she relied on him for her and her son to survive. She reverted back to caveman brain picking the strongest man for the best chance of survival in exchange for the only thing she had to offer him, but she should not have trated him like that after rick came back

Hello again Nos Troma! heres a story about the CDC area with all the zombies(walkers) in that area) During the Days when Wildfire was declared alot of the people didnt knew it was a Major Level Extinction Threat and slowly and surely the world was consumed by it (this happened in America only and the world didn't knew it) since then the Military tried to stay alive in the city defending the CDC, as it was a last defence area, the civilians were gunned down by the higher ranking Sergeants, and were put down immediately, the soldiers slowly got tired, scared, low ammunition, low water, low supplies. when night settled in, Walkers were coming from all sides, the Military would fire on the infected. and the scientist inside the CDC bolted out of the facility and went out in the World. the soldiers tried to get them back in, but were slowly eaten off. some soldiers kept firing at anything resembling human, and some opted out. (the Vatos one ill say since it is deleted and its not in the Episode anymore. apparently the Vatos were Killed by someone. all of them were gone, the building was now just deserted, no-one was there. just Rick's group. cant say the group who killed the Vatos name is it will be spoiler, so ill keep it around till you reach Season 2 in 1 episode left)

Good television and art provoke great conversation The Walking Dead has never been about zombies It’s about humanity and survival at It’s most fundamental core It makes us ask what we would do in similar situations.

It’s quite awesome to experience TWD through new reactors It’s an amazing show Something to consider Fear The Walking Dead Season 1 takes place (timeline wise) while Rick is in his coma in the hospital But you probably want to watch them in the same air date chronology to avoid any out of order reveals.

This first season is like a big movie, so good!

Not gonna lie, this show is brutal and sends you on a massive roller coaster of emotions! It’s worth the tears and heartache though I promise!!!

It’s possible that it was the alarm on the car Glenn took that lured the zombies there Slowly but persistently trudging towards the last place they heard the loudest noise like that with the added noise of other vehicles going to the camp They’re lucky there weren’t even more of them since they’re still reasonably close to Atlanta (which is full of zombies)

I agree the scene where Andrea loses her sister is powerful Laurie Holden does a great acting job there.
