I think bots did ruin the game but with the addition of OG season 1-10 none of the seasons have bots so it feels more like og for people that want to expierence it again or for the first time to have fun and test their skill against real people but when that gets too hard they can go back to the normal season so everyone is happy and the game stays fun for everyone

fair. but the thing is, in chapter 1 almost everyone played like the bots today. chapter 1 can and will never be truely recreated, no matter who or how hard they try. bots make the game easier, because without them, first matchmaking would take hours, then, it would take chapters just to get a win, and without them, the game would be impossible to enjoy for newer players. I understand your point that most of us learnt from real players, but, as previously mentioned, back then we were the bots or even worse than them. without bots, newer players would face sweats in their lobbies, never get a win and be discouraged from playing the game entirely. So, bots help newer players understand the game, and if they want to face real players and get better, that is one of the reasons ranked was made.

yeah, bots are good for new players, to get them aquainted with the game without having them be destroyed by a sweat who builds a $150 million dollar mansion after they get hit once

winning a match does still require skill, the whole lobby is not entirely bots it is some amount bots

I think they should make better skill based match making. It's difficult I know, but have lobbies filled with players the same skill and 1/2 higher skills above. If no more players can be found while loading into a match, the rest are turned into bots. It's kinda hard to perfect this kinda thing without annoying people which is why the entire drama about og has happened

i disagree, bots where added because of the sweats that killed you off-spawn but now you recieve the bots you start getting annoyed, its more fun with bots and it fits the theme of everyone being better i the oldest season. they have solved your problem by adding ranked so have fun there where the is no bots (except for the first few matches)

you cant just take away 7 years of skill from playing. People complain about "sweats" because theyre too good and how they cant be having "fun" while shitting on you, these "OGs" are simply upset because people got good at the game, its been out for 7 years not everyone will be running around without building or hiding in bushes, buildings etc. Even if they did take away turbo building people will still be good, the fact is fortnite will never be like how it once was. You cant stay at a constant skill level for 7 years, Stop complaining and get good at the game.

pretty sure just because a mode isn't pulling nearly a million players in numbers doesn't mean that the mode is dead. it's still got 400K players even at 10PM at night, which is still quite a lot of players. Remember, Ballistic mode just released and a significant LEGO update just happened, drawing players away. This doesn't make the mode a failure. if anything, you should be talking about something like Festival battle stage, which currently only has around 1.5 thousand players right now, and rarely pulls numbers into the 10 thousand mark.

ik its a shitty move but i play on pc and the lobies are too hard i just dont have the time to get that good but i also have a switch so i load fort on there make a new account then join that new account and now i play aginst with low to mid level skill ( I have never abused this in ranked)

They cant bring a 1:1 Graphics from 2017. Because old Fortnite from I think 2017 to 2021 It was running on Unreal Engine 4 and now we are on Unreal Engine 5 so it would be pretty hard and maybe Impossible to bring back a 1:1 Graphics to OG Fortnite.

I like that they can choose between the OG art style, and their modern one. Why? It’s simple. Freedom in design. They aren’t limited by it *having* to be cartoony. Sure it lost its charm and became more corporate. But if done right, it can go well. Like with CH6 so far. It’s looking great! Plus they still know how to do the OG cartoony art style if they ever want or need to do that. Plus now that OG is back. If they do decide to bring CH2 to OG in a year or two, then maybe Impostors might return.

ive played it before, and i dont exactly think its that good. im not the og-est (started in chapter1, season 5) so maybe im just not used to this maps stuff, but it doesnt really feel like old fortnite, it just feels like normal fortnite with diff weapons and map. we already had the OG season, and people weren’t going as crazy for it as this og variant. maybe ill like it more once season 6 or 7 is released

As much as I love the new chapter's graphics there is something that makes me feel 7 years younger with OG. I remember when I started playing and now I miss the old graphics. I wish the games story didn't go back in time and I could go back in time myself

Unrelated: I think Chapter 6 is the best rendition of the realistic graphics artstyle. It gives off the amazingly vibrant feel that Fortnite is known for, something Chapter 5 was missing.

There are lot of small details missing unfortunately. Explosions are not cartoonish, we dont get that cartoonish dust when running. Model such as the scar and the bolt action are the chapter 2 models. The bolt action scope looks awful and not og as well Etc. Since this is an og mode, i would love to see the building and editing get nerfed to the way it was in chapter 1 even tho i’d be a bot as well without turbo building and edit on release. But At least they should get rid of the new movement mechanics, and give us the old animation, at least!

Nahh bro after playing the map I can honestly say that it’s the best thing epic has ever done. They should make a separate game for Old Fortnite. They’re basically 2 separate games.

I never got to play chapter 1. I missed out on Fortnite’s absolute peak. When the battle passes were great and had iconic dances and skins. But, when I first played Fortnite Season OG, I got addicted again. And then left after Chapter 5. Then I heard about OG Fortnite coming back as a game mode, I joined back again. And I can confidentially say that it is not nostalgia. Old Fortnite is just better. It’s more stylized, it’s more addicting, and it’s more tense. Edit: I think you should rename this video to something like “Was OG Fortnite a mistake?” Instead
