I bought one week ago the guitar Martin D-18 Authentic 1937. There are not words to describe the sound's quality!! I had Martin D-18 Modern de Luxe , but Authentic 1937 is very, very better!! I didn't hear such guitar ever!!

Yes indeed - Ten years ago I bought a Sigma 000R-28v Martin "homage" solid sitka spruce top laminated rosewood back and sides - mahogany neck with a slight v shape - rosewood fretboard and bridge - bone nut and saddle - open back grover tuners. The guitar after setting it up how I like it played and sounded great. The top has opened up real nice and is a keeper every bit as good as that to which it pays homage.

All are great...I own two of them..Collings and Heritage.....can't go wrong either way...Heritage price is "slightly" less....and they're aging is spot on....(I also think it's cool that the Parson Street pickups are wound on the old Gibson winder that they supposedly left behind....)

I only kind of wish they offered that slope-shoulder all-solid model in the very plain, 1940s style of the cheaper model.

Georges was a 57'. George was the one to spray paint the back and sides. Lennon got a can of black spray paint to paint his natural Rickenbacker. It is believed George got the can from Lennon to paint his duo jet.

Which is the better sounding budget guitar? This Eastman PCH2-D or the Yamaha fg830?

Shame the George Harrison had to be a George Harrison. Adds $1000 for a name I could care a less about. Hopefully grestch will just release a dynasonic that’s at the correct price point in black in the future.

I now have my Yamaha back and the bone nut and saddle really make a difference in sound. The guitar sounds amazing. The guitar is just so much fun to play. Grab yourself the Yamaha fg830 CE if you don’t already have one. You’ll be glad you did.

Hey gratz ! I was about to buy a 2k$ Guitar, but finally this one looks way nicier and sound way better than most guitars (and god know I've checked out all models of all brands that could exists in dreadnought/GA)! I'm still blown away from this cheap price and so high Quality Control :-O. Which active pickup would you suggest me to buy ? I want to play worship on stage with it regularly. Thx ! I was thinking LR Baggs models, but dont know which one and if there is better idea.

I have the CE version of the 830 which already has a good pickup in it. So you wouldn’t have to spend any additional money. The yamaha fg830 CE costs only $550 not including a case which will cost extra. Good luck. 0:03

A couple of crackers - the Rosewood is impressive with a tone to die for but is almost too big in the bottom with the E being a little dis-embodied from the overall instrument whereas the mahogany sounds nicely homogenous throughout. Perfect playing Josh. My $0.02 fwiw Cheers, Ross

That's a great guitar and a I was thinking to buy it, but during my test I discovered the bad marketing choice to write "Crafted in Korea" on the neck. So, I've changed my mind because I don't like tattoos on the guitar.

I missed out on one of these which was hanging in a random guitar store in LA some years ago. Wish I bought it, dry, bellowy loud. Got a 1973 Rickenbacker 360 instead. Budget only went so far. Still wish I chose the Collings though. BEAUTIFUL

In the US... slope shoulder applies to dreadnaughts such as the D-18S models. Nether of those guitars would be called a slope shoulder.

After seeing this video I went straight into my local shop and played the Troubadour traditional and it sadly didn't sound even close to how it does in this video. Way thinner, the bottom end was no where near this nice.

I've seen quite a few videos of the F50(R) and it's striking how they all sound quite the same as my own F50R...this demonstrates the constant quality of this outstanding instrument. Such an amazing clarity and (bass) response... it really brightens up my day whenever I play it! Mine is from 1987 BTW, so it's made during the same era as the one in the video.
