I was part of a choir about maybe 4-5 years ago that performed this song for our Christmas concert. truly a wonderful experience. super happy to see it done justice here.

Is it possible for you to post each part individually? We're singing it in the choir I'm in and being able to sing my part, bass, against the other parts would be hugely helpful. I figured what's the harm in asking? Beautiful rendition, btw.

Absolutely fantastic! Your solo on which is infinite is the most bone chilling, magical thing I have ever heard. You captured the actual infinite in that moment. Every phrase is extremely meaningful. Bravo

Wait, what? Did you sing all the parts by yourself? I thought it was a choir with trebles. Amazing.

Very enjoyable! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is performed so neatly, without added nuances. Thanks! It deserves a wider audience. There is a band arrangement of this by P. Hazzard my students performed several years ago, plus with a community band later. You capture the intent of the piece so well.

Eric may well be our modern day Palestrina. His writing for voices is first rate. Nice control of dissonance.

It's really a nice work!!!! I'm also a choir bass singer from Taiwan and I'm going to record a podcast program with this piece, is it possible to authorize me to use the 5:21~6:20 segment? It's just a small podcast and no profit, I'll cite the link in the introduction of the program~~

Wow. This has been on my bucket list of pieces to record - I’m a fellow multi tracker singing everything at pitch - and you have done such a splendid job with the music. Bravo!! Bravi. ❤️

The visuals and the recording help me understand how incredibly complex and difficult this piece must be to perform and how harmonically complex it is musically. Thank you very much.

Is this all sung by just you?
@Ethan-ep2zl2 жыл бұрын
Well, I’d assume so because he never gave credit to anyone. It’s all mens voices which is extremely impressive as it’s an SATB song. My choir has younger boys who haven’t gone through puberty singing this.

My dude...I. Love. This. Thank you for this. You sound amazing in this. I've been trying to do something like this for fun, I wanna do this song but I was wondering; how do you record those super low bass notes and super high sop notes? Do you just naturally have the range? Or are you maybe recording them in a comfortable octave and then transposing the pitch? Being a tenor, there's no way I could hit the low C-E range.
@davidbone8335 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you! I am a tenor as well and my falsetto is pretty high so the high soprano notes are just me singing. For the low bass notes I actually sing the part in a key that is comfortable and then I use software to pull it down.

And thank you for the score, bro! :)

This is truly commendable and professional. Amazing range--is this all you? Any Early Music Ensemble would love to have you in it.
@davidbone8336 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes it is all me singing, but the low notes in the bass part are pitch corrected to be so low, my natural range doesn't go below a low G Flat. But the soprano is all me :)

@@davidbone833 You use software or a vocorder for voice correction? Or what? I have an electro-harmonix v256 but haven't hooked it up yet. Anyway, you are also proficient at recording. Are you in high school or college? I'm a retired violinist/musician. Well, not quite retired, I work part-time. I was in the Early Music Ensemble at University of California and your pristine voice using little vibrato is right up my alley. Many violinists (and perhaps singers) use vibrato to mask bad intonation. It's a challenge to produce beautiful vocal sound without vibrato but you do it well!

@@pjmnash I use Logic Pro X to voice correct as well as sample and compile all of the tracks and a yeti mic for recording. I am actually a college freshman. and Thank you again!
@QalinaCom3 жыл бұрын
@@davidbone833 you could also try and use TM Helicon voicelive touch for correcting the pitch to lower your voice, it sounds natural. Best machine ever! Lots of hard work went into this, thank you!
