Actually that scene where he says that he had killed him in his heart comes from the book of Matthew. In Matthew chapter 5 Jesus teaches that hating someone without cause is the same as murdering them inside your own heart. Because all murder including blindfits of rage page start from a place of hate.

This is one of the few movies I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it.

The thing that makes me so emotional when watching this movie is that it is based on true events.

Once it was clear aircraft carrier wings were superior ship killers battleships were mostly used as mobile artillery to shell islands. There were only two battleship vs battleship battles during the Pacific war the 2nd battle of Guadalcanal and the battle of Surigao Strait.

This is one of my favorites movies from when I was a kid.
