The problem is Mancunians and Salfordians are not very proud of their river. If I have the capital I would start a business hiring motor dinghies out to the public to enjoy.

That`s all fine and dandy but as an engineer I can assure you that roof gardens are a bunch of nonsense that just make your roof leak more. If you want more greenery then fixing housing regulation so that roof green and terrace green spaces are not counted as part of the green spaces installed by the builder might be a better option. Slopped roofs are also a better option than flat roofs.
I live in the rossendale valley we have some wonderful wildlife on the Orwell that pases threw

It is beautiful there or was until they built that ugly housing estate next to it. That no salford people can afford to buy.

How do you deal with sterile eco-systems though?
@smokncho772 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by sterile? I assume that would require a reintroduction of ecosystem components to make it self sustaining and balanced again. Like water, aeration, microbiomes, vegetation, biodiversity, etc.

Lovely Luke. I go for a walk over there and by the river, then to Kersal wetlands all the time. It is a stark contrast but it adds to the beauty in a way. Xx

Excellent film and great to learn about this research into supporting the population of this beautiful butterfly, thank you.

Beautiful. I never knew that existed. Then I extended my walk in lockdown. I was so amazed by it. I will be walking around there as much as I can. You must go for a walk, anyone who hasn't been yet. Plus it's so awesome to have a lovely nature place in an urban area. You can see all the towers of Manchester in the background which adds to the contrast. Just a wonderful place.🌄💚💛
