No bro someone gotta figure out how to share skins in this game like cars in gta5 😂 cus i need the spino bug tracker skin and i cant access the ptb because playstation/sony🙄 not even gonna talk about having to get lucky and be the first to report a bug😅 so yea if anyone got the equipment and the know how on how to make skins shareable....probably not😢 but if so lmk😊

I have a question to anyone who own skin from PTB. Did you get skin after all session finished, or you got message with skin right after you reported good bug? I made 16 reports including exploit on nesting & critters PTB and QA called many of them good, one was even hard to fix. Is there an chance I will get something after all session are finished?

Same. Now it’s too squishy, it doesn’t make any sense. And the only tool it had to prevent big prey from scraping to land was bleed, and they took it away.

hi xyph! i know this isnt exactly the right video to ask this question, but its your most recent one so i figured i would try here !! i was wondering if you actively hunted for bugs when trying to get your bugtracker skin, or if you just happened to find them while you play. i found a bug where you could fall into rocks, and then walk around inside and get shot out.. but it wasn't bugtracker worthy apparently. getting really tired of rex skins so ive been trying to find some help for the progress of getting my own bugtracker but nobody seems willing (who would wanna share the bugs they can keep for their own skin anyway lol) havent been on youtube in a while and definitely missed ur vids. keep it up bro!

@@WARDXG-r2o I used to hunt bugs on the test branch until something broke. I remember filing around 20 bug reports - one that got me awarded immediately was a bug I found that caused a player to logout. Another one came some months later from a bug I filed for mobile that caused all inpus to stop. Your best bet to getting a skin would be with bugs that can seriously ruin the gameplay experience. I'd recommend hunting bugs on mobile since there's a lot less people testing there.

thank you!! that's an idea i never thought of mobile. ive been trying to focus on anything that might have a bug behind it.. but obviously i don't really know exactly what to try in hopes of finding a bug / causing one to show itself if that makes sense. i know typically PTB is where the bugs are.. but would they reward any on the normal branch? i can't remember if they always have PTB servers up or only at designated times/events.. ive been seeing lots of bugtrackers lately and i swear it makes me feel so discouraged as if everyone has already wiped all the PoT bugs off the face of the earth. thanks xyph i appreciate the help ^^

@@WARDXG-r2o PTB is always up. They sometimes do stress tests there and everyone who hops on gets a chance at a skin. Yes you can get awarded on the live branch but only IF it's new and they didnt fix it already in the PTB. Hence why PTB is better for bug hunting. Personally, I'd go for homecave, waystone or controls related bugs. Stuff you could interact with since they tend to break under specific scenarios. Heck even trying to break the menu, store or login screen can get you a skin. Goodluck~

@@XyphtheSarcoGuy thanks xyph!! i knew about some of the UI bugs since i saw a report from you about one (a while ago) in the discord channel.. i remember a long while ago there was a bug where you could change your skins and skip the shed by double clicking the begin shed option.. there's a visual delay/bug ive been seeing in the skins menu but ive been ignoring it (assuming its just visual, nothing important)

@@XyphtheSarcoGuy hey! okay. so, i just found a.. cliff.. that shoots you out and deals damage as a result. what do you think? would that be worth anything <.< i was testing a spot i knew i got stuck in, got stuck in another spot and the rock dealt damage so i clipped it.. repeated, and it zapped like half my hp. obviously you can't judge the criteria that bugtracker would come under.. people have said that if you send a lot of reports, it's less likely you'll get the skin at that time - so i figured i'd ask if its worth anything before i damaged my chances !! sorry if this is confusing i'm sort of talking to myself haha

there was a snake game someone made in dreams ps4 where the point of the game was being able to stay attached to ropes and branches, movement was slow and difficult and iirc correlated with contact. it looked better than the climbing i see in the beginning here. i'd like to make a snake game since i write my own physics and just improved my rotations, so i'm interested in seeing what's been done ot see if i'd offer something different. it looks like this game is going more for simulation playability than ragdoll physics fun.
