Great area- and lies within walking distance to the three superb 'Blue Flag' beaches of Caleta De Vélez (100m), Algarrobo (200m) and Torre Del Mar (1km) along Costa Del Sol's longest beach promenade, which is also one of the longest - if not the longest - in Europe. Right next to the local supermarket and Caleta De Vélez town center where you can find a few shops, restaurants and bars. In Caleta de Vélez and the surrounding area there are many things to see and do beyond the beaches. You can enjoy the large and colourful Saturday morning street market in Caleta de Vélez, the 18-hole Baviera golf course or simply stroll 1000 wonderful meters along the beach promenade into the city of Torre Del Mar (20.000+) where you will find loads of restaurants, shopping, Chiringuito's (bar & restaurant's located directly on the beach) and much more. A short drive will take you to Aquavelis Waterpark and El Ingenio Shopping Center - and if you drive a bit further down the coast you can among many activities enjoy diving. If you visit between November and May you can easily reach Sierra Nevada - one of Europe's highest ski resorts - you can ski in the morning and enjoy the beach in the afternoon.
