Ugh, it's often goodbye the hot plug that did me good last trip. I took the z bar out of all my reels, they are manual close only and I haven't had this happen since.

@@fishingamerica3299 the guys I knew who had them loved them. Never tried it ir could afford one, but I really enjoyed the ones I had after the bail became manual. Fewer bird nests, less tumbling, less slack at the takeup because absentmindedly started controlling the tension in the descent with the closing hand.
