You’re right to go with the black label. I had an issue with my red label by a corrie lake in Waterford, Ireland. Strong cyclonic air movements in the corrie produced small tears along the seams and bent the poles. Fortunately Hilleberg provided me with a return credit so upgraded to a BL for around 50 quid difference.

I am thinking of getting the same tent, how bad is the condensation, please
@MarkOutdoors_
@MarkOutdoors_ 9 күн бұрын
@@andrewlloyd9892 I have never had it bad in this or my other one as I try to only use it in harsh weather You only get condensation when you have no wind. This tent isn’t made for nice weather. It’s made for wind and the cold as it’s 4 season and tight to the floor with a little vent at the top of the door. If you use it with no wind you will get condensation. I get bad condensation in the summer in 3 season tents as they is no wind. The people that complain about condensation use the tent in warm calm weather which is wrong for this tent. Hope this helps

If I’m to believe a lot of recent comments I’ve read from other videos, you’ve just bought an overpriced, cramped, heavy, condensation prone tent that leaks through the top cap. In all seriousness, that’s a great looking set up 👍🏻 Did you consider the Storm star ?
@MarkOutdoors_
@MarkOutdoors_ 12 күн бұрын
@@craigy1872 😂😂😂. Yep and I have never experienced any of that yet 😂😂😂. A few facts what the others don’t tell you is it’s the same weight as the helm 2 ( I had one ) You only get condensation when you don’t open the vent and have no wind. These don’t have a hole under the top cap but the older ones did leak where they was a gap in the vent zip at the bottom. I love the tent but a lot of people twist wanting a palace of a tent that withstand 100mph winds etc. They work great when used in the right conditions meaning no condensation. Thanks I loved my old one and love this more in red. I have looked at the storm star but never got one as I had a lot experience with my old soulo black label and they are a bit stronger between the panels with the soulo being a 1 man tent. My mate Lee has one and hopefully we encounter some nasty conditions to see what it’s like. Thanks for watching.

The wind chill can be -15 and the full inside is mesh with a gap around the tent it’s nuts goes straight through. The wind sucks the heat straight out of you which is no good. I'll be on my 3rd one in under 9 months when it gets delivered. First one had the black mould problem (then developed a leak that I couldn't source to fix) and my replacement for that one exploded in my tent 2 weeks ago as I was inflating it with the Zero Pump - one of the baffles blew and that was it, an uncomfortable night and straight in the bin when I got home. Flextail have been brilliant though - I'm waiting on another replacement coming - and I asked to pay the difference and get the rectangular one sent out instead of the mummy shape, which they agreed to do.
