The real life emerald night has a second tender so maybe just build a second tender

I’m using Brick Model Railroaders knuckle couplers. But I did find a place where I can get old magnets that are stronger. I still might use the regular couplers for some of my trains but I still have to build an adapter car.
@Britishbricks2 күн бұрын
I was supposed to receive some of those knuckle couplers for a prize a few years back but never got any. Sounds like a cool project! Let me know how the adapter car goes.

Fair enough, have you tried any other types?
@DerbyKong3 күн бұрын
@Britishbricks I think my answer was a bit to short. I don't like any nonmagnetic solutions. I prefer the old magnets for individual designs. I like the way you build the buffers.

Get some Lego chains and do it the old fashion way!
@Britishbricks3 күн бұрын
Chains are tricky. The plastic is very thin and can be bent or stretched over time. Slightly hard to attach, haven’t found a strong connection in the past, and coupling isn’t very convenient. I also got issues when shunting in reverse as my Mocs vary in weight, plus the alignment of the buffers weren’t always perfect (or round enough) - causing them to derail. Maybe one day I’ll figure something out!
