The reference to palms reminded me of an old story, from many decades ago. A young guardswoman was out training with her unit. The troops were in battle dress, camouflage paint, even with small branches stuck onto their helmets...and it was Palm Sunday. The young soldier got permission to visit a nearby country church for the service. She snuck in quietly and sat in the last pew. A small child turned and looked at her, eyes wide....and blurted out...."Look Mommy...someone came as a Palm!!"
