This is really shady because Fernando did 32 laps (2 laps less then George) and made the weigh just fine. Getting extra rubber from The cool down lap gets you an extra .5 kilograms at most. The only person to blame is George and his engineer because they prepare and anticipate these types of situations. Don't be fooled by this nonsense. I call the bluff

I hate all these people coming on these channels talking about zRussell being a genius. No body in F1 racing manages tyre like Sir Lewis. He had suggested before Russell doing the one stop but the team strategists said no. In the end the rightful winner emerged.

Merc never told Lewis about changing on fly, Lewis was mad at the team for the lack communication and info. Cuz there has been times where Lewis does something and guess what Merc does they go and tell george, that never happen here. Toto and the team failed, The one stop literally costed them. So we dont know if lewis wouldve been DQ too if he did a one stop. Again Lewis is mad cuz the teams lack of communication. Lewis said my tires were fine but they wanted him to pit even tho he said the same thing george said "my tires are fine" SO we acting like Lewis wont help ferrari? even tho he is doing it with merc? ight. You think last yrs drivers 3rd was cuz of the team? LOL

For anyone who doesn't understand how this race played out (which is most of those commenting). - The car was 1.5 kg underweight; - This equates to a gain of 2.4 seconds over the entire 44 laps; This was double the gap between P1 to P3; - It likely wouldn't have changed the result as overtaking in Belgium has become more difficult with the dirty air of cars with much more down force than last year; - The 1 stop turned out to be the better strategy; - Russell was not the only driver to try it, but he did get the most out of it; - Russell probably drove the best race of his career and even with a very marginal weight 'Advantage' it was the standout performance of the day; -Lewis Hamilton similarly drove a great race and was ahead of the pack of those which opted for the 2 stop; - Lewis could have done a 1 stop as well but they pitted him to cover Leclerc and Piastri (as literally no one - including Pirelli - thought those tyres would be good after 30+ laps. Summary: Russell is proving what most of the actual race fans already knows - he's an exceptional talent and will be a protagonist of the future championships. Hamilton is still a g. Norris needs to stop bottling the first laps. Piastri is getting better with each race.

George gambled beautifully though. Yes it's not really strategy, but sportsmen make crazy calls all the time. The Mercedes communication and transparency are the real issues

Think Lando's feeling not the best mentally (imo). I think he's one of those drivers that need to have their head in the game to perform well. He was being too careful at the start last race, like not have contact was the only thing on his mind. With the hungary drama, bad races again and again and his grandma passing away I think it has been hard. Hope he can reset in the summer break cuz he's my favourite driver after lewis. Hope the team can support him through this.

Lewis' fanatics (not Lewis' supporters) are a nightmare to this sport. I can no longer read anything F1 related without them making ridiculous statements in the comments! I don't rate G. Russell that much, he is clearly not as good as Hamilton, but what people are excepting him to do exactly? Beating Hamilton and trying to assert himself as n°1 is literally his main objective, especially since Hamilton is leaving the team, as such, he should be as ruthless as he currently is. If you wanna blame someone, blame Mercedes who failed to properly inform Hamilton on the strategy
