S25 and S26 were produced with one airing order in mind but broadcast another airing order: S25 was going to be Remembrance Of The Daleks; The Greatest Show In The Galaxy; Silver Nemesis; The Happiness Patrol. But ended up airing as Remembrance Of The Daleks; The Happiness Patrol; Silver Nemesis; The Greatest Show In The Galaxy. Which led to things like Ace having the earring before she found it and forgetting her rucksack blew up in and looking for it in the TARDIS. With S26 the planned order was The Curse Of Fenric; Ghost Light; Battlefield; Survival. But JNT felt that Curse Of Fenric fit halloween better than Battlefield. With S26 the change isn't as bad, just being how you interpret a piece of dialogue (is it referencing the previous story or teasing the next one)

looks good but the music aint great. when i first heard it i thought it was the soundtrack for the trailer? (still hope it is?) If it in the final video, well... firstly, the mix is way too loud. Secondly, I love synth. John Carpenter, Vangelis. It can be wonderful. But, ive always hated this type of cheap, tv, synth you find on the sci fi channel or episodes of the 90s version of the outer limits etc. Also. it doesnt fit the era at all. IT should be more minimalist, experimental, psychedelic and just plain weird. it was the 60s after all.

It didn't look as bad here, but there were some scenes in the completed project that were so garish that it begged the question: just because you can put so many colours on screen at the same time, does it really mean that you should? I prefer the unadjusted original broadcast mainly because there is something unsettling about the jarring contrast between something clearly filmed in the past yet depicting a futuristic alien city, as it creates an uneasy sense of not knowing when and where you really are, and what could happen to you.

The problem with the new music is it's overblown, fast-paced action music. It needed to be more ambient, quieter, playing to the menacing, tense stillness of the scene. The original audio was actually almost perfect. The only thing I'd change would be to add a brief dramatic loud strike at the beginning, but then allow this to fade to the eerie "silence". The scene would also benefit from a little more sound effects, just a few subtle metallic, robotic noises to give the Daleks a sense of weight and power.

I don't have any problems with Jodie Whitaker as the Thirteenth Doctor. That said, 0:18 was funny as hell. 🙂

I like the face in the title sequence, but I prefer Capaldi's to the others because it's subtle enough to not interfere with the background but still very visible
