I have problems with my HP Prime now. please, help me! the buttons are swapped (the "-" decreases the screen brightness and the "+" increases the screen brightness; the "divide" goes to the terminal screen"), and every time I press "Esc", it goes to an "Exam Mode" screen, that has "Configurations - Basic Mode" and to choose the angle. And the Symb button reset. It also does not turn off... I press "shift" and then "off" and it does nothing. And seems like the "On" button is stuck. When I hold down the "On" button, I can change the screen brightness with the "+" and "-" buttons, divide goes to the terminal screen, and Esc goes to exam mode. Please, you can help me? I am from Brazil! Sorry for my english.

Download the HP Connectivity Kit from hp calc website. When you install the connectivity kit, open and it'll prompt you to download the G1 and G2 prime firmware. After downloading the firmware, connect your calculator to the PC and the PC will prompt you to update the firmware. Good luck

Can you solve sin(x)=1 and see if you get the correct answer which is 2kpi+pi/2
@Keldor3148 күн бұрын
If you use simplify() instead of expand(), the Prime gives you the correct answer instantly. I assume expand() is brute force multiplying the polynomials, whereas simplify() recognizes a trick to efficiently compute the coefficients. This is a matter of the calculator doing exactly what you told it too, even if it's slow, since sometimes you need it to do it that way.

I think you should also compare the 92 to the 92+. I have the manuals for both but only the 92+ unit and the tutorials in the second chapter refer to features that literally are not on the 92+, specifically the Geometry mode where you can draw various shapes. As you know, it's not the same as the drawing tools in the Graph mode.

The 89 got me through electrical engineering no doubt. It was before people realized how powerful it was. The bad part about the 89 is it's keyboard software stuffed in a non-keyboard body.

The back cover will always have BC02 for G2 as opposed to BC01 (Assuming the calculator has not been tempered with)

Cheers for these videos and the intention of sharing what you know about the use of these calculators, however, please consider keeping the whole calculator in the frame of the camera while filming. Sometimes it's hard to follow what you are doing if it is not possible to see what keys you are pressing and, consequently, the result in the calculator screen.

You have bought too many HP Prime. I know the latest is the Hardware Version D that the model number is 2AP18AA. The SHIFT button is deep blue colour! EVEN the summation is the fastest among the advanced sci-calculators by its advanced processor!

lol, mine does it in CAS mode using simplify instantly. Not even 1ms. This is not accurate!

I know HP Prime is the fastest advanced sci-graphing calculator but might have little bugs that we do not know now. The problems can be solved by renewing the software. The importance is the import, export to the PC or universial interface.

I've only used Free42 (an open source HP 42S implementation) for a few days so I don't have a lot of experience on RPN, but I do know how to do integration, solve equation, etc. I've used HP Prime for a few days and I must say its RPN mode is pretty usable. It has an infinite-level stack so you can always input numbers from the left to the right without worrying your inputs getting pushed off the stack (things like 1-2/3^(4+5), and I know the more proper RPN way is going from the inside to the outside, but it requires a bit more extra brain power when you need to flip operands). If you run a calculation by mistake, you can recall all operands by pressing Shift + '+' (ANS). The "Last X" however, can only recall the last operand, so you need to do a reverse operation first if you need to recall the first operand. It has a big touch screen and you can highlight any stack level and do things like roll up/down, drop, duplicate upon only a portion of the stack. You can run any functions by pushing arguments into the stack first and calling the function with/without the number of arguments to consume. You can integrate textbook notations (including CAS) seamlessly by using single quotes and Shift + ',' (EVAL).

If you try solve(q=((0.8492*pi*d^2)/4)*(d/4)^0.54*(h/t), t) Ti Nspire don´t work. HP prime is better in this case. If you look at the history of Derive, you'll see that Texas hasn't improved CAS at all. He only bought Softwarehouse, but it seems like Texas doesn't know anything about CAS.
