when you say "Hold" are you pressing the foot pedal ? I've been trying to set this controller up for 2 hours now. very confusing. Nothing in owner's manual at all.

I'm refereeing to a hold on the Foot switch, so instead of a tap, you hold it down for a long period, you can set this up based on what the dialed options say for the hold. I typically make the hold a clear of the loop. You are right on the user's manual, very little in there on the foot switch set up, you need to keep working with it like you said, it takes time. We need more how to You Tubes on this beast.

Thanks for this video…I am wondering why I have to reset all the foot switch settings every time I turn the 505 off?? It’s not a very quick process to set the foot switch up, every time I turn off the 505 I lose all the settings! Also do you need to set the settings up for every set of loops/ For example if I am using the footswitch for track 24, and then I want to use track 25 for something new, I have to do the settings all over again? They don’t carry over from track to track?

I just bought the RC505 mk2 with the original system1.04 software, and it will NOT update to 1.3 , attempted multiple times, like this video says...do I need to update to a previous version before atempting V1.3? TIA

Make certain it is unzipped and you move it to the root of the Boss not a level down, that screwed me up once. They don't have the previous rev's so won't be able to step through them. Also make certain the pc shows the boss directory when link it. Like the other message below you have to drop the files in, not the folder!

Hey thanks for the tips friend. I dropped in the folder, haha no chance! It's the files, not the folder, winner! With your Sync issue, sounds double clock speed... try checking the Wavestate MIDI Clock Sync settings, maybe it's on double clock measures, as to the 505s bpm. Some Korg & Roland gear include settings for Sync Clocks per Beat, like 1, 2, 4, 8 beats per Clock. Cheers.

Thanks, you can tell I had update issues more than once and I'm a EE hardware guy. I figured out the sync issue, I use a uKorg into a midi merger which has a rate out that was changing the Mk2 rate, dialed that one down and works as expected. Its an older Wavestation EX, so only lets you use an external sync but not change the rate. Maybe my next vid how to, subscribe if can!

Thanks for the video man! Great info here. Been considering upgrading my old RC505s to Mk2 for a while now but still haven't gone for it yet. Question for ya - on the sub outs can you set them each up as mono? So like if you wanted to send track 1 mono out through subout 1L / track 2 mono out through subout 1R / track 3 mono out through subout 2L / track 4 mono out through subout 2R is that possible?

I would look into the routing, I try to keep things stereo so have not looked into your option.

Thanks for the video :) Have you tried running each track to a different output? I'm trying to do that and whatever I send to a sub output goes to both the left and right rather than mono one to each. The parameter guide reads that each track can have it's own output jack but I'm not figureing this out. Any ideas? Anyone? Thanks!
