Thank you for posting this. It's also my favorite scene in any film.

I still find it amazing that these completely awkward young people were almost randomly put together and then somehow it produced some of the most brilliant art and music of the 80's.

I can't see ya but I know you're here. I feel it! You've been hanging around since I got here. I wish I could see your face. Just look into your eyes and tell ya how good it is to be here... Just to touch something! See, thats cold. That feel good. Or here... to smoke. Have coffee. And if you do it together it's fantastic. Or... to draw. You know you take a pencil and you make a dark line... Then you make a light line... And together it's a good line... Or when your hands are cold. You rub'em together. See, that's good, that feels good! There so many.. good things. But your not here. I'm here. I wish you were here! I wish you could talk to me! Cause... I'm a friend. Compañero.

This is perhaps my favorite scene in this movie. After that is the cameo from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

what kind of gear did you use that had a menu like that?
@zerozeroisland6 ай бұрын
That weird menu thing came from the digital player I was using to stream the rendered video onto the vcr. It was as cheap little gadget I got from Amazon that fits in your palm and it just has the USB and SD card input and an HDMI out, so you can control it from a remote and it will video straight off the SD card. I’ll see if I can look up the brand name for you! I remember it cost me like 20 bucks

I recommend "Facing The Other Way" by Martin Aston, which is about 4AD. I'm not normally a fan of books about musicians etc, but it's actually very good. Ivo's living in the US, having had a few mental problems and selling his share in the company. It sounds like he's OK these days, but keeping himself to himself.
