Pete Carter is a marvelous swinging drummer. But I feel a little bit irritated when I watch his hi hat. It looks like he wouldn`t play a steady beat on 2 and 4. But it's just a visual impression. It sounds tremendous.

You have a good "feel" on this uptempo piece.

Pete- Amazing stuff. Just "discovered" you (Ha Ha). Ain't the information age great? Having checked out your youtubes and FB Page. I'm all in and thanks for keeping this great music alive. I've come full circle..started with a big band guy in my teens then went the rock route but have been returning to this style past several years. I love swing and big band drumming. Nothing feels better than driving a Big Band. I was covering mainly Blues and Rock music for 3 decades, then took some lessons from Daniel Glass in NYC and totally changed my approach. Got totally into the roots and history of our instrument. It's about pulse and yours is tremendous. Killer fills- even the complicated ones :-) I've never really tried to tackle a big band chart. My sight reading is pretty slow these days but I'm working on it. Whats a good way to start with charts and work my way up? Thanks and Cheers !!!!

Love your playing, one of the best of all time. First heard this tune done by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, is that the band you were playing along with or your own big band, again great playing.

Beautiful. Check out Tim Metz doing the same tune...but slower! Love your fills at the end. Thanks for keeping the legend of Buddy Rich alive. He was truly one of a kind.
