Good reveiw lads 2 questions mate 1 In the frontier have you been in any high winds yet and did it move if you have ? 2 what’s bag like can you get back in when pack down or have you got to struggle get it back in like most systems
@BeardedBurbler2 күн бұрын
Can't say I've been in ridiculous winds yet but I have been out in storms and it was fine, plenty of pegging points, The bag is oversized so no issues getting it all packed away either.

Bait boat if you have one or a baiting pole would be ideal. When I was there it was extremely weedy a tough going, unfortunately I didn't have much luck so I can't really say what worked. I'm there for the new year so hopefully I'll have a better session. I'll also have my bait boat this time so I will be able to get under the trees better. Good luck if your booked on there, andet us know how you get on. Thanks for the support to the channel 👍👍

@@BeardedBurbler Thanks for the reply!! We didn't fair any better, I ended up giving Zigs a go because they seemed to be in the upper layers but no takes. My friend stuck with bottom baits and didn't have any luck either. It is a beautiful lake but hard fishing.

Arghhhh! Stunning venue, I have the cabin booked to see the new year in with the missus and dogs, can't wait. Shame you didn't get to see some of the stunning fish in there, remember it's not a blanked session if you enjoyed it and learnt a bit 👍👍 better luck next time matey.

I cannot believe you didn’t even talk about the speed of putting the tracker up which for me is the main advantage. And yeah all these square sided frames, lovely on a nice day but catch a gale so badly. I just use the brolly and throw a full overwrap on if it’s going to be bad weather. That gives you 2 layers to stop condensation, makes the inside black for a nice day sleep and to keep the inside cooler in the sun even without vents. The overwrap just has loops for existing pegging points so is on and off so fast. A much cheaper way of getting a fast up bivy with the advantages of a full bivy system or you can just add a porch to the front of the fast up brolly again to be fully enclosed at night but with much more space in front. Nowhere near the £900 quoted here either.

Great comparison guys, I have the Frontier X and love it, best bivvy I have owned. Only problem I have had was sorting out how to use the door letter box style, couldn`t work it out until someone else showed me how to configure the zips. He had the same problem when he first used his.
@BeardedBurbler Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the view, support and great feed back, I'm Glad you enjoyed it.... (assuming you did 😂) I love my frontier X, I can see where the confusion can lie with the zips if you've not had them before like it. Hopefully you've managed to waste some time with the other videos. 😁👍
@daveprime2273 Жыл бұрын
I don't have a tempest 100 but I have a good look at them a few years ago along with the nash T1 build quality is better on the T1 although the T1 gives you more room but it's still not too big and comes with a built-in peak no ground sheet though as it comes with a capsule the ground sheet only cost £60 ish as for strength I've been fishing in wind up to 65 mph in a storm a few years ago I think that's what the phone app said and didn't move one bit I've since then got a frontier XD brilliant for a weeks carping and the T1 has been replaced with the T1 camo pro which does come with pockets but only in the capsule still no ground sheet though as for height the frontier XD and the T1 pro are about the same as for the material the T1 is very slightly better in my opinion I've heard about the problems with the frontier but I've had none the best bivvy in my mind is the T1 the lightest is the tempest but it is smaller though so it should be but is still a very good bivvy though but not for me a great video though lads
@BeardedBurbler Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support and the comment, some great insight there. There's no doubt the T1 is the master when it comes to strength. In my opinion I thing thr frontier is best for value as you get everything you need and no need to buy extras, like a ground sheet etc. Hope you manage to watch a few more. 👍👍

Now is the time to grab the market leading award winning tempest bivvy 100. Just paid 640 for mine with the wrap brand new with warranty. Had tempests since the first silver pole version and never had a problem. The fox one is cheaper as it’s cheaper made. Nothing else will ever be a patch on the tempest whatever tempest you buy.

Also be aware they are cheaper now than ever as the updated tempest comes out next spring

Funny they are all made in the same factory in china and they all use the same materials 420d polyester as now sonik avid and prologic do one and they even better as you get a inner capsule and skull cap with the new sonik one and the avid and prologic you get a mozi door and skull cap and a inner vapour shield don't have to buy anything separately and their prices are like 500 quid for everything all your paying that extra 200 quid for a tempest is the trakker badge 😂and the trakker have so many problems that's why there is so many other companies sells spare and upgrades for the tempest b3cause trakkers customer service is the worst ill n3ver buy anything trakker again as its all Chinese tat so don't matter what you buy now its all made in the same factory

@BeardedBurbler3 жыл бұрын
Don't need it but you can use the outer skin which I show in the video and that's more than fine. Really is a good bit of kit 👍
@grahamunderwood93533 жыл бұрын
Two things i would recommend first is to put a bit of superglue on the little nuts in the side bar spreaders as they are easy too lose and secondly see if you can get someone to put a vent on the overwrap at the back so you can let air flow through the bivvy in summer when you get thunderstorms youll need the overwrap but it gets very hot otherwise its a great bit of kit ideal for the longer session and lots of little features that some of the top brand bivvies have yet to get
@BeardedBurbler3 жыл бұрын
I did find I had to lift the back up a few times if I'm using the outerskin. Plus I have found if you put 1 bed across the back and 1 down the side you get a huge living/kitchen area. Great bivvy, it'll be hard to replace I think.

Not tried that tbh, but it takes 20-30 secs to unzip so really not an issue. You can use it without the ground too if you prefer but honestly it's hardly worth not putting in because it's seconds. Great bivvy, I normally have 1 bed across the width at the back and then 1 bed down the side which gives you so much room like a kitchen almost or you could even get a 3rd bed in.
