I think if I have to pay for a hunting license to hunt state land. And some state land conservation zones require additional permits to hunt. I think you should have to buy hiking permit to hike state land and parks that require hunters to pay.

Bought mine on Black Friday for $33 bucks. Easy setup and I love that you can preview the pictures on the trail camera itself in the field if you need to. Night time pictures come out pretty clean. No complaints so far just wish that they would have an adapter where you can use a large lithium battery in place of eight batteries but it is what it is and price point was excellent. Been testing it out in the backyard and catching critters I never do we're running through our backyard previously or at least as often as they actually do.

I’m in a similar situation, been saddle hunting for 3-4 years and want to change it up. I’ll probably sell my saddle setup to afford either the .5 or beast stand.
@PBAdventures146Ай бұрын
@aaronmelotti8077 I've never used a .5 but I've never heard a complaint about them either. Love my beast stand and I purchased it in part to support Dan Infalt, but I'm sure there are other great options as well. Best of success and thanks so much for watching!
@aaronmelotti8077Ай бұрын
@ I prefer the size of the .5, I’ve heard Dan talk about the idea of making a smaller version of the beast stand which absolutely would interest me. This video is a few years old now do you still prefer a stand over a saddle?
@PBAdventures146Ай бұрын
@@aaronmelotti8077 I do a hybrid system now. That being said, whenever I'm in a tree, I always am hunting out of the Beast stand. But my safety system is a Mantis saddle. It's what I am tethrd to the tree with when I am on stand. On occasion I may lean away from the tree using my saddle as the brace. But the majority of my time I'm sitting or standing on the stand as normal. It gives a third option for being on stand and still provides the same security as if I was saddle hunting. The saddle is bare bones. So it is 1lb or less to carry or wear in. I use the tethrd rope as my lineman's system on the way up and then I transfer it to my bridge as my safety harness once I'm up there. Again, it gives another dimension for being on stand while still providing safety and it's lighter than my vest safety system I wore last year. In the odd scenario that I want to saddle hunt, I have the saddle, but of course, my only platform now is the beast stand. I have no complaints so far. Hopefully that makes sense.

I've been in that situation hunting on my brother's land in Vt. The Long Trail runs through his property and hikers come trough all year. Even had 1 walk out from behind the targets on his shooting range about the noise the guns made. His range is no where near trail , so don't know why he came out there.
@chadfranke2012Ай бұрын
The point is that you can't leave a stand and own a spot on a spot on public ground. If everyone did that you wouldn't like the results. If they had to work as hard as everyone else there would be more hunting opportunities for some one to maybe have a hunt like they have never experienced. You would find more spots that hadn't been hunted yet if they weren't able to run to the woods last minute and or set every day because they already have a spot set (owning a spot). And you are exactly right about about ladder stands, they are the most common stand left in the woods.

Looks like an animal activist harassing hunter's to me. Plus this person isn't wearing orange like there supposed to which is a nice fine. Even though they aint huntering, they have to wear it during hunting season if they're going on public land.

Had some guy on cross country ski’s out blowing up everyone spots on opening day of shotgun season. Dude was wearing orange and everything, he knew what he was doing. Ended up working like a deer drive though, I got an 8 point and everyone else got does or shots off. Guy on the skis was quite upset how his plan foiled itself.

Returned the dog n hid dad was grateful n sorry the kid wrecked my spot. The kid never apologized n barely said thanks never gotbthe reward listex on the collar either. I told him to keep that energy when i dropped the dog off in the next county. Haven't seen him anymore, but still haven't seen that buck

@thedinner225 well... 2020 I missed a 10pt in that spot, hit a twig.. last year had a 140"+ 12pt 120yds from me in that spot. Got to know the time if year and how deer move through there.
