That episode still haunts me today especially because in usa it seems guns and death are go to place for usa citizens. We are full of crime in safrica but that's mostly because of poverty. There it seems the wild west never left usa psychology. That's even more scary knowing usa citizens may make trump president. What is wrong with tbe citizens of usa. You mostly have it ok so you live in drama of Hollywood. Hey we have real problems but using a gun is not always the first choice except for gangsters wife killers. Ok i lost the argument.

This is probably one of the best episodes of greys anatomy it’s so deep

Everyone in this episode was phenomenal the actors the writing everything about it was perfect. The little details that when you look back you appreciate more and you then start to appreciate the smartness of the characters - for instance Alex when he saw the gun he immediately puts his arms over his face and crawls the the elevator because he knows it was his best shot and then also April who when the gun was pulled on her started to ramble on about her life because she knew that would potentially save her and mark when he instantly covers Lexie and especially Jackson who first of all suggested Christina do the surgery on Derek which then saved his life and then he tricked the shooter so that he’d go away. Baileys acting in this was spot on and the small bit we get of Meredith’s miscarriage it’s just one of those details that makes it even more better. Props to the writers in this scene

I’m re watching the show rn from beginning and i just watched this edit.. trust me I’m ugly crying rn

One haunting story that still gets me to this day and this episode made me think of it is I believe it was Indianapolis when a child was playing with a balloon that deflated and it was sucked into his lungs and either his parents or an ambulance or his parents brought him into a local hospital. The child died, and the Dad came armed to the hospital soon after and held people hostage and SWAT was sent into hospital. This affected me both as a parent and teacher. I never let my kids play with balloons as “toys.” It’s always surprising how many people (parents at birthday parties, teachers,etc.) give out balloons to kids as prizes, incentives when they could suck it into their lungs when trying to blow it up, not to mention they could choke on it, or an even younger child could get a hold of one.
