Revisiting my youth and I find this! Tate is simply UNREAL in these clips from ‘86. The whole band has an unreal stage presence

Thank you so much for posting this. This was Queensryche at their peak and this is how I choose to remember them. The original five. Unbelievably great.

They just don’t make bands like this anymore. Such a shame how it all ended. Saw them open for Scorpions years ago. Will never forget it. This tune is still in my weekly rotation 🤘

Imagine having to go on and perform after a prime Geoff Tate! Geoff is undoubtedly the greatest metal vocalist of all time.

I was fortunate to see the original lineup just before the breakup. It’d be nice to see them reunite but that will likely never happen.

Tate in his prime was absolutely god like. He was a monster. He was like lava he couldn’t be touched.

I'm from this era and I've watched this prob 100 times. This gives me chills every time. Nothing compares. Let's not downplay one important fact...this is LIVE. This band and this man sounded like this live. That shit doesn't happen anymore. Everything is fake, computer-generated, auto-tuned, AI, etc. These are REAL musicians, and Geoff Tate still sounds just as good 40 yrs later. ❤ QR

Sorry- he absolutely does not!!! My favorite band since 1984, “Operation Mindcrime” is my favorite album of all time. I have seen them countless times. I would never go see Geoff now. He is an egotistical narcissist who didn’t take care of his instrument, and treats people, including bandmates and fans like crap.

When rock and roll rules 🎸music today is far different from real musician back in the day. From mid 60's to early 90's you will appreciate real rock and roll music

I was there right in the middle of the stage about two rows back. What a great freaking show this was. Moshed during Soundgarden too. Thanks for sharing this man. I was just 17 that summer.

I miss him so much. It's a shame he turned into such a narcissist. He new stuff is just plainly a rip off. DeGarmo us still cranking out 100% excellent material but NOONE can sing it like Geoff did. I'm STILL so broken about their split💔🥺

It's odd how great they were when Tate said during the 20 years, they played together he talked to Micheal Wilton about 12 times.

I get why people aren't big on this. The lyrics and singing isn't really singing. It's more conceptual. He's monotone in an effort at displaying how disconnected he is. But even if you aren't wild about the lyrics, the actual instrumental work is real good. That sax goes HARD.
