@CosmicLogic-ts5vr That Eotech has housing for two AA batteries up front that power the Optic. They sit in the front part of the optic longways. AA batteries are in most households, so those are easy batteries to 6 they are cheap. I have an Eotech EXPS-2 as well but it runs on CR123 batteries, which are the size of a nickel. @@404tactical7 I do have a question for you. With that M4A1, how do you go about maintaining the rifle with that pesky pin and weld? One of my biggest issues is what if I wear out the barrel and need to replace it. That basically means I’ll have to have that muzzle device pinned and welded each time I replace the barrel. Is that pretty much a non-issue?
@404tactical7
@404tactical7 26 күн бұрын
@WoV-zr4xc Well, guess you'll need to replace it with a 16" barrel to call it a rifle or get a smaller barrel and have gunsmith do the work to pin and permanently weld. Check local laws on that one though

Sorry if already answered below , but does it work with the underfolder version of this model ? Thx
@404tactical7
@404tactical7 27 күн бұрын
@alexejYouFit I appreciate the question. I am not sure as i don't have the underfolder. I did check the Zastava website for you and states "will not fit with a scope mount installed. I'm guessing it will clear the side rail, but if you add a mount for the optic it would not fold. I removed my cover and installed TWS Dog Leg Rail that I have an Eotech and a magnifier. Hope this helps. UPDATE: I Looked at video from Small Arms Solutions, and the Zastava rifle sold as M70UF does have the higher side mount to accommodate the underfoder. Zastava makes a special mount for the m70UF that's fit this model and is shorter in height. If you are installing the underfoder as an aftermarket attachment to your existing M70 then it won't have the higher side rail and will not accommodate a mount.

Buy this rifle and then buy the USAMU Service Rifle Marksmanship Guide to learn everything that’s important to good shooting with this rifle. And for any who want to prove their marksmanship knowledge and skill, or who have a desire to become better marksmen, sign up for the USAMUs Small Arms Firing School. It’s an annual 3 day marksmanship training event held in late July at Camp Perry Ohio. My perspective on this is as a CMP-USAMU Military Rifle Instructor assisting the USAMU deliver SDM, TTT, and SAFS Training, where I have seen comprehensive training lead shooters to become Champions if they have that goal. BTW, the manual that comes with this Colt Rifle is truly lousy, it is poorly written and instruction is inadequate for the purchaser to properly zero the rifle’s sights for a bullet drop compensation function. Also, this rifle is ideally suited for M855 ammunition when a most accurate bullet drop compensation function is desired.

Unless it's a rifle or an AR pistol specifically built for CQB / home defense or a vehicle weapon, I prefer a 20 inch barrel and rifle length gas system on an AR-15. I like the lowest recoil possible, and maximized ballistic performance. Even clearing rooms with a 20 inch isn't bad if you dedicate some time to training with it. My initial rifle I trained with in Infantry OSUT was a 20" M16A4 and I had no problem "clearing," rooms with it during training. I was issued the M4 when I got to my unit, but the M16A4 has always been my favorite.

The Windham is not the same as Colt in one measure. The Windham has an A2 FSB and thus its detachable carry handle sight is not mil spec height. This means nothing unless you replace your rear sight with one which is mil spec height and then the rifle will shoot too high to properly zero for a 6/3 bullet drop compensation function. How do i know this? I used to manage the AR Dept at a very large mid western gun store that sold thousands of ARs from most every entity marketing them.
