So it’s a clamping system versus a mount that is directly screwed down and it’s only for a Glock. I have an sig P320 so I’m out.

People complained about the mos mounting system. Glock then partnered with the premiere red dot compant to come up with something new and better, and people are still complaining.

Also... aesthetically, this absolutely sucks. Why is the logo in big white lettering at a 45 angle? Considering it is a Glock optic, why didn't you match the design ques from the pistol? So it looks like it belongs there. The P-1 and P-2 look so much cleaner. This just looks gaudy 😂

Aimpoint is like 10 years behind on innovations. Witch is sad because they are probably thes most trusted optic and rightfully so but were is all the pistol optics or scope optics. Dont be a one trick poney and sit on your accomplishment of the best rifle red dot.

It might actually be a good optic, but I need either a whole new gun or at least a specially machined slide (including for the two Glock 19s I already have), I don't know how big the dot is, what the battery life is like, or how much it costs because they didn't say, all to solve a problem I don't have with any of the red dot equipped pistols I already have. And oh yeah, for the time being at least, you have to buy a new Glock even if you already have one. Excellent work. Total 'game changer'.

This is the next evolution of the pistol/red dot market, but companies need to come together and make a universal mounting solution. This is getting ridiculous.

This is a pretty cringe and comically poorly done marketing video. Probably best to just remove it from the internet as it's fairly embarrassing to the company. Also, for the love of God, please stop using that obnoxious white lettering on most of your optics. Nobody wants that except for a handful of marketing folks at Aimpoint who are 180 degrees out of phase with your actual customers. Should be subdued across the lineup. Aimpoint was absolutely killing it in the 90's through the design and then proliferation of the Micro family (T1/H1 then T2/H2). I don't know what happened then (15 years ago now) e.g. change in leadership, retirement of chief engineer, ect but everything since has been a yawn, lame, and poorly thought out. Meanwhile, holy shit these last few years Sig's Electro-optics group is on absolute fire with best in class designs, and of course Holosun is running circles around you. I say this lovingly, get your shit together or the company is doomed.

The COA doesn’t use an outer shroud and it doesn’t seem to have the extra panes of glass. Theoretically it should be significantly less expensive to manufacture because of less materials, less machining and quicker assembly. Moreover, it probably uses exactly the same or cheaper electronics as the Acro or at minimum uses some of the same electronic components such as chips, circuits, mixed in with cheaper components so again the electronics should be cheaper because of either cheaper components or buying components such as chips in bulk thus getting chips at a discount from suppliers. I think $450 would be a fair price (all optics are severely overpriced) but knowing Aimpoint this optic will probably be $595 to $598 🤣

Dunno about the dot itself, looks like another Acro style mailbox. Mounting solution on the other hand seems more solid than previous systems with only 2/4 screws that may need locktite or other stuff to stay on. Gonna need to read/see/hear about torture test to trust it. Nice to see Quality Swedish Engineering standing strong in the US-oversaturated market. Also looks like the boys in Nationella Insatsstyrkan made a cameo at 4:47 - fan va salta ni är, grabbar!
