Before this years Cosford airshow the Lightning II has only done flypast , VTOL mode or formation flying at public events . This years marks the first time the aircraft has been shown of in a role demonstration publicly. Hope this is the start of more things to come .

That was so good. I'm glad these amazing machines are being kept operational even though they aren't allowed to fly anymore due to accumulated flight hours. But man, do I hope to see a Lightning fly again some day. Maybe XR724 is able to. Unfortunately I don't know the details.

It is truly amazing that there still working lightnings & the public can witness the raw power . I am Not sure if it will ever happen, but there is a person in South Africa trying to get one back in flying order . www.flightlineweekly.com/post/new-life-awaits-ex-sa-english-electric-lightning-zu-bbd

Amazing planes. If you are truly interested in them, read a book called 'Lightening Boys' by Richard Pike. Fascinating.

Oddly, my first thought at seeing these beautiful machines when they are doing their rollovers and all of that, but when you first see them, what comes to my mind is who is a good and pretty boy you’re a pretty boy!(the jet) And then when they come in to land you’ve been a good boy time for rewards! You did good brought the pilot and yourself (the jet )back.good boy! But in all seriousness, seeing these jets do what they do brings chills to my skin. I am so much in awe of the beauty and the force they convey.

i was there too! exciting to experience multi low passes /touch n go's from the F15-QA at Lakenheath - I lost count how many times it went round Just really 😎 I guess there's a practical reason for the multi low passes but i felt as if the pilot was enjoying it - I certainly did, thanks for posting😊😊
@dothatwattentwat3 ай бұрын
it's not a "touch n go", if there's no conatct, on the squat switch, on the gear!........it's just an "approach, and go"...........i change the transducers on these almost every week............

Two of the greatest bombers we have ever had,Tornado is sadly missed from the skies of the uk,As a young lad I used to sit in the sand dunes at Mablethorpe watching Tornadoes and F-111e’s running along the beach to Donna nook range,The Tornadoes were from TWCU at Honington And the F-111e’s were from the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford,Great memories I used to visit TTTE Cottesmore aswell,I used to pushbike 12 miles from Melton Mowbray to watch them,Great days.

CANADIAN CF-18 HORNETS 409th Aviationfuel96, do you know, if this squadron was placed in CFB Baden-Soellingen? If so, I am riding around that airfield, whenever the weather is fine, with my motorcycle. Btw, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the question .I am not to sure tbh. I know the 409th are based at CFB Cold Lake in Alberta. Hope you have a nice ride

@@aviationfuel96 This is, what I've learned from Wikipedia: 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron en.wikipedia.org/wiki/409_Tactical_Fighter_Squadron ''Cold WarRe-established at RCAF Station Comox on 1 November 1954 providing air defence for Canada's west coast as part of NORAD. Initially equipped with the Canadian designed Avro CF-100 they converted to the CF-101 Voodoo in 1962. The squadron transferred to CFB Cold Lake in 1984 to convert to the CF-18 and then deployed to CFB Baden-Soellingen as part of Canada's NATO commitment. The squadron was then disbanded in 1991 with the withdrawal of Canadian Forces from Europe.''

The Viggens burner & jet flux as it went down the runway 😎 Well done, you've managed to captured the raw power of these two iconic Swedish jets 🇸🇪 brilliantly, i could almost smell the 'aviation fuel ' - Really nice footage of the Viggen taxing - That camo!!😍
