I’m a long time resident of Whidbey Island off Saratoga mid way between Langley and Freeland! We as a whole like sharing our island but the fact is when bustiers leave we have so many does and fawns killed by visitors that don’t follow speed limits and the ones who leave trash on our beaches that we have to clean up. So if you visitors find us not as friendly as we used to be. Restore our faith. Honor our speed limits. Clean up yourselves. And know this we DON’T need your tourist $$. If we needed $$ we would not live on this island! So please respect our island. I’m tired of hearing my deer family thuds after some foolish visitor is doing 45/50 in our 25 mph speed limits. Hitting our deer and destroying our habitat. lol some bodily functions DON’T need to be shared.

We will always treasure Whidbey Island ♥️ These are our family videos and we just share with others the places that hold close to our hearts. We understand hardship and when things aren’t feeling so peaceful as it once was.

We did enjoy our stay there for the two nights we had. It’s a great spot for a few nights. The pool is nice with chill vibes. Bedroom and bathroom are nice and we had a nice view of the ocean. We hope you have an amazing time whatever you end up doing!

I've been looking at places on the Oregon Coast that aren't Airbnbs to take my 18 month old son later this spring / summer and always forget about Salishan. Thanks for reminding me. I've been enjoying all your videos with your little family. It's very inspiring for me to get our family out more and explore the beautiful places in Oregon :)

Salishan is awesome with the kiddos. We love all the amenities there and so many cute places around it. Spring/summer would be amazing there with out the chilly weather and high tides. Hope you guys have the best of time when you go!!

That’s amazing! We hope you get to go out there soon! We highly suggest booking in early spring or summer for winter to get more of a top choice. The place is called Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort. Prices change. We suggest Google search to find the best prices. Sailed on Discovery Princess in July/August 2022 to Alaska. Worst cruise I've ever been on because of the 800, yes 800, children on board! Princess is promoting more cruises to include families with children and it has turned me against ever sailing with them again. Mature adults don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of screaming, misbehaved children.

Sorry your trip was like that. We sailed in May and hardly any kids because kids were in school. July and August is summer break. A good thing to look into is when school is out for summer and when kids have breaks from school. That way you can avoid loads of kids. Hope your next trip is more relaxing for you!!

a great time to cruise is mid-September, once the kids start school! The summer and winter holidays are full of families with children on cruises. I also avoid ships/cruises that have lots of water features (islands like Coco Cay, elaborate pools, water parks, race tracks)and bright colors in design because they are aimed toward attracting kids/families.

Yay for a Disneyland trip! We are so excited for you guys! Amillia was 7 months old when we went for the first time with her. On the pirates ride she slept in Paul’s arms the whole time 🤣. But when Amillia was around 1 year old she didn’t like the drop part and got scared for a moment. It can go either way and each kiddo will be different. At least there is just the drop at the begin. Just have fun and don’t over think things! Plus try it once and if it doesn’t go smooth you don’t have to do it again ☺️

Your daughter is adorable and you dress her so cutely. She won't remember much of this day when she gets older but she's got lots of great footage to relive it when she is an adult. I'm going to be doing this in about a month. Curious has to how cold it was up there with the dogs? Did you get too cold? I loved the music that you selected and great job on the video.

That’s so exciting Victoria!! We are so excited for you! You’re so kind! She is a very adventurous kiddo. This was more for us then Amillia. Alyssa (the mom) has always wanted to do this since she was a kid and since we don’t know when we would be back we decided to go for it. We were not disappointed in this trip and Amillia really loves dogs so she was super happy to be along for the fun. We would recommend dress warm. You can call the place you book with and they can recommend what to wear. Here’s a checklist of things we liked: -gloves -warm hat beanie - snow jacket - warm socks - good shoes (they give you glacier boots that slip over the shoes you are wearing), snow pants or warm pants. We hope you have the most amazing time on your adventures!!
