I think its close....my thing with it is, is that Volks also best who i think Aldos best wins were in TKZ and Mendes, he didnt fight faber tho, but u add the 3 wins against Holloway, Brian Ortega, Yair and IMO it gives Volk a better resume and im not trying to take anything away from the old schoolers, but i think Mendes,Aldo, TKZ, Max X3, Brian, Yair is a better resume than Mendesx2, Faber, Edgar, Llamas, TKZ, losing to max as well, and Prime vs. Prime Volk would beat Aldo 2 out of 3 times, and i dont think Topuria will have a chamce to build that kind of resume that either of these guys have bevause alot of these guys will be gone or are gone and i dont see anyone filling ghese guys shoes
@makingthewalkmma2 ай бұрын
I'm not certain if Prime v Prime Volk beats Aldo like that. It's hard to say, but I agree that it's close. The Faber win carries a lot of weight for Aldo, as does beating Cub in 8 seconds. Not to mention beating Edgar twice. However, I agree that it's closer than most might think
@michaelmortazavi49562 ай бұрын
@@makingthewalkmma i just feel like the 3 wins vs. Max really puts Volk over the top, Max finished aldo and Aldo was still young, for me that takes care of what greatness points id give aldo for those wins...sorry if i seems rambling i woke up to pee and replied lol

Really enjoying the content my guy, glad I found you through Frankie's channel. Easy answer, YES Netflix WILL be a game changer for UFC because of the 260 million global subscriber reach. Note it doesn't have to be a revival of TUF, it can be the contender or a new idea. It likely starts off by Netflix landing a number of PPV fights/Fight Nights annually. I'm going to be shocked if Netflix doesn't land a deal with the UFC when the ESPN deal is over.
@makingthewalkmma2 ай бұрын
Bro I appreciate you so much for watching. I really appreciate it. Dana kind of eluded to it in his post fight press conference after UFC 299. I think the bidding for the UFC will be a lot more interesting this go around and if Netflix can prove their handling of a live event with the Paul/Tyson fight, it could get really interesting between Netflix and ESPN.

There is a disregard for skill level and technical flawlessness in your arguement. Khabib brought a level of martial arts ability (grappling) akin to what Jordan was in basketball. There are people with better resumes/careers than Jordan but none were better ballers. That is Khabib's case for goat status. He was just so much better than everyone else he had to be called the best. Sport is about the athletes not the records, but because of the latter, you may choose another athlete. It's all fair and subjective though. However, I will say, not putting Khabib in the top 10 is a very interesting take, being the greatest fighter (without a challenging fight) of the toughest division has to carry far more weight than the first half of his career- you can't call low diffing Justin, Dustin, RDA and Conor worthless.
@makingthewalkmma2 ай бұрын
First off thanks for your comment, it was amazing. I feel like his dominance is noted but sustained dominance (or victory) is what puts people in the upper echelon. Can you sustain that dominance against elite competitors over and extended time. He was well on his way there, just didn’t stay long enough to see what would happen.
@Skipper43692 ай бұрын
@@makingthewalkmma thanks mate, these tpcs are always fun. What you say is all fair. Final comment then is, sustained dominance over whom ? The same guys he walked over are still at the top, and we can't ignore the effect of Islam on his legacy. Islam is a less flawless version of Khabib (with significantly better striking albeit) and he will be the first to say Khabib gets the better of him, along with many who have trained with them two. Watching Islam is a fair notion to seeing what Khabib would have done, and just as he told Dana himself, what more would he gain from sticking around. Don't get me wrong, I would've loved to watch him fight Charlie Olives (to get 30 and 0 which is more satisfying) cause as much as Khabib fans annoy me, CO fans are just as bad and pretend BJ Pen doesn't exist. I understand why you wouldn't put Khabib at 1 cause there are so many other options to consider and it all depends what you consider the best metric to decide the goat. Thanks for the content tho mate, looking forward to more of your takes 👍
