Are these the threads that are used in Sashiko? Oh it looks like it might be for embroidery. The lady tying the skeins is so fast.

The video shows how they produce threads for embroidery but they also produce sashiko threads..I have been to the factory and watched these amazing machines and the people who wrap the bundles of threads ready for washing and dyeing..all very interesting..The lady is very fast

For the hana-fukin carrot sampler H-1092, are the carrot and stem stitch lines to be made as long as the lines look on the canvas? Or should they be stitched in a smaller back stitch sort of way? This will be my first experience with sashiko. I thought all stitches were small as in the video. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. Yes you can use any needle that is sharp, strong with an eye that accommodates the thread you are using.
