We will be fortunate enough to return to Kg in Oct/Nov this year, and thank you, you have alleviated the fear of it being far too hot compared to our ‘23 May trip. Looking forward greatly to returning and this time with our niece and nephew from Denmark on their first real African Parks trip. Ooh, the excitement! It will be quite something to see their faces each day as something new appears. We stayed at iXaus last year and the morning walk with the two 1.6m tall bushmen guides, armed with two thin sticks and ‘don”t worry if you see the Lions who belong to the tracks we are looking at, we are not on their menu’ was simply stunning to contemplate. 😊 Unfortunately, we did not see them. Thanks for a great series!

I agree with one of viewers below - the juvenile eagle at 14:17 is a snake eagle not a martial eagle. The juvenile martial is entirely white underside and is grey not brown where colored.

Nice vid! Can you please include a pause before you add the text and ID the bird. For anyone trying to use such a video to learn to ID birds themselves or to teach a kid to ID birds, the video is not usable if the answer is presented immediately! Just need time to pause the vid.

Really liked your video on the planning. I'm South African but work & live in Thailand so I can only dream about traveling South Africa while watching videos like yours. I also got a similar trailer like yours and are in the process of kitting it out so I can hook up and go with my limited time for holiday's. Is it possible to get a hold of a copy of your planning sheet in excel so I can try and learn from your experiences pls? Thanks allot and stay safe.

Thank you so much! Sorry for the delay but I want to set up a link in a format others can easily use, (like google sheets) as I use Microsoft word. I have finally sat down and done it and added it to the video description but here it is directly! You can easily cop paste on excel from sheets, I checked. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15zdkkgPmI56-ItIXGfsMCGnmwMC_CdHY7Bc1IAIhR0Q/edit?usp=sharing Let me know is there is a problem opening it as it is my first time. Good luck with your planning! It is one of our favorite times. Thanks for watching!!

After 30 years I have finally agreed to a Kgalagadi trip, December this year, with a certain amount of trepidation I might add, but your series of videos with exceptional photos and videos, has eased my nerves a bit. Heat is a concern, but you have given us ideas which will help. Thank you so much, we will miss our evening dose of Jason, Carmen and family. Where are you going 2024?

You must let me know how your summer goes! 🐾

@@insideoutadventuressa8283 You're so right, planning and researching a trip is great fun and very rewarding. We're heading to ZA from the UK for a month long trip at the end of October. We're starting off with 2 weeks in Kruger, staying in our favourite camps, Satara (7 nights), 4 in Lower Sabie and 4 in Berg en Dal. This will be our 5th trip to Kruger . Then we head south for a couple of days at Augrabies Falls before heading to KTP where we are booked in at Twee Rivieren (4), 3 nights at Mata Mata, Nossob (2) before ending our trip with a final 2 nights at TR. Would have liked to stay for 3 nights at Nossob to give us a bit more time to head both north and south from the camp but we could'nt get the suitable accomodation, however I'll keep checking as cancellations sometimes come up. I think its going to be an epic trip.. Hopefully we'll get some decent photos / video footage to do a few youtube films to add to my existing small offering .😉

Great video, check the wings of the Korhaan's in flight. Northern Black has white primary feather "windows" and the Southern Black has black primaries. The Afrikaans names are a good indicator - Witvlerkkorhaan and Swartvlerkkorhaan. Also check the "Cape Vulture" at 12:52, it looks like a White-backed Vulture as secondary feathers are dark, where the Cape's are white with black tips.
